*TURN⬆️ GAWD Tuesday is live y’all* 🎙️

Shouting out my sis *Shante Chéfe* @shantechefesherlock x @teamchefernb and her album *“Brown Sugar”* — go stream the track *“Boundaries”* right now on all platforms 💿🔥 Shante straight outta Philly and I’m proud to say I’m on tracks 4 & 5 at the end of “Boundaries”! If you’re an independent artist like her, come holla at me — I put y’all on for Turn Up Tuesday 💛 #teamCHEFÉ

Heavy heart today as we lost *R&B legend Freddie Jackson* at 70, just 3 days after his birthday. I had the honor of interviewing him on Daily Grind Radio back in the day when I was station manager/DJ at Power 99, WJJZ 106.1 & 97.5. Man was a legend — “You Are My Lady,” “Have You Ever Love Somebody,” “Rock Me Tonight,” “Do Me Again.” Rest in peace, Freddie. We’ll play “You Are My Lady” to close it out tonight 🙏🏽

Took a road trip into the woods, past state lines.. Felt like I time traveled... Sometimes it's best to sit in nature in order to connect with yourself and others again.

Since my heart is both heavy and full of song today, I am moved to share this again, recorded this summer when the @salttrailsphilly monthly “singing through our grief“ event was held at the Cherry Street pier. It’s a little hard to hear, because I was literally competing with the sounds of planes, trains, and automobiles as we gathered under the Ben Franklin Bridge along the Delaware river. I wrote this song four weeks after after I lost my brother, only sibling, to an entirely unexpected suicide. His name was Jimmy D, he was 68 years old and he left us April 22, 2026. This grief is still raw, and music still helps. #KeepSinging #DebrazonGriefJourney
