The Sitka Art Invitational is an annual art show and sale held North Portland, Oregon. The event brings together work by more than 100 regional nature inspired artists. It is one of the largest and longest-running juried group art shows in the Pacific Northwest.

Sitka hosts artist residencies through the year, hosts incredible summer workshops and brings art education to kids K-8 along the Oregon coast.

A little more about Sitka…

The Sitka Center for Art and Ecology is a non-profit organization located in Otis, Oregon, on the central Oregon coast within the Cascade Head Biosphere Reserve and National Scenic Research Area. Founded in 1970 by Jane and Frank Boyden (originally as Camp Sitka), the center merges art, science, and nature to foster ecological balance and creative inquiry.

The Cascade Head Scenic Research Area (CHSRA), where Sitka is situated, was established by an act of Congress in 1974 to preserve and enhance the area’s scenic and ecological qualities and promote a more sensitive relationship with the environment.

The CHSRA is managed by the U.S. Forest Service as part of the Siuslaw National Forest, and the Cascade Head Natural Area is managed by The Nature Conservancy.
Equitable access to and participation in the arts, natural sciences, and nature are central to Sitka’s mission. We are committed to serving and championing people from a wide range of backgrounds, practices, identities, abilities, and experiences, offering access to this inspiring and protected landscape.
