Time for my @addo.company appreciation post ^_^ Literally what a crazy freaking season it was for me.. First audition. First team. First show. First teaching opportunity. First comp. First win?! Like are you kidding me?! ADDO has helped me grow so much not only as a dancer but also as a creative and as a person. I'm sitting on my bed typing this out but the words escape me.. I just have so so so much love for this team and for everyone who make it what it is. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to dance with you all and to have gotten closer with so many of you over the course of the season. A huge thank you to all my friends and family who came out to support the show, friends & fam, and for cheering us as we left to compete. It felt so great to share what the team worked so hard on with you! Eternally grateful to the creative team, leadership team, and my wonderful directors @machacarlo, @kayleemccull, @mynameis_nathan for leading such an amazing season! Your constant support and encouragement throughout the year has been monumental for me. Like the pieces of the puzzle were all there.. like it's giving 777 in a slot machine. Thank you for auditioning with me @tatum.exp_ cause I don't know if I would've done it by myself. Two bitches who ain't ever been on a team before joining one together iktr!! I love you down. And with any dance milestone I achieve I share with you @tylerqyan as I quite literally would not be here if it weren't for you. So surreal to have danced on the same stage as you and to be on the same team as you. Forever thankful to you for getting me into dance and for always being in my corner. I love you shay mitchell. Shoutout @jeffreyjameslapira for the insane video of us winning that looks like a found footage horror clip (had to cut it short cuz girl we were stunned for like 6 minutes) also yes that is an award for snoring like a magnitude 7 earthquake.

💌: ADDO Chile…. It’s about time I posted these photos. A lot has happened during my second year on Addo. I took a gap semester in my third year, I did a show and two competitions, learned more about my wellbeing, multiple breakdowns, and especially a thousand epiphanies. Like a lot of people, I tend to feel stuck or stagnant in my dance journey. I sometimes find myself thinking about milestones I have yet to achieve or I compare myself to other dancers around my age. However, as I look through these photos from comp week that I realized I have everything I ever wanted since 2022. Being on ADDO and to be surrounded by creatives I can also call family. I don’t know if I tell @safaali_ this enough, but thank you for encouraging me to try ADDO. I didn’t know if I wanted to try companies or figure things out on my own. But safe to say, saying yes has been one of the best decisions of my life. I’ve been a fan of this team during their early stages and seeing @magzviolet stories on what they learned from each rehearsal manifested in what I thought was a silly dream be a member. When Safa asked if I wanted to join, I genuinely hesitated and was about to say no LOL. The thought of potentially being a member made me worried. “What if I wasn’t skilled enough,” or “Why does she think I could be a member let alone candidate?!” Anyways, their first rehearsal was in a week so I had to make a decision soooooo, here we are today. In conclusion, I apologize for these long ass captions for my posts these days, this might be the last one for a while LOL. After all the cheers, tears, and chats with these wonderful friends; I want to say thank you, I’m sorry, and I wish the best for every single one of you. Thank you for accepting and trusting me, I’m sorry for these times I push you away or kept to myself, and I hope that you all reach the goals/dreams you desire. Head over heels and slowly letting my outrageous squeals spill out, and all because I picked up a camera again. Found my way back to my first love 🫂 Both a huge trial and a triumph, one that I was blessed to have the greatest people to push forward with. I got to be part of a team again, and it felt amazing. Truly the biggest lie I can tell myself is that I could do it all on my own. Thank you to the grande list of people who supported this work. Dreams came true with this one!
