This is the daily struggle. Just listen for a minute. You watch the heart of the match for hours, but when a video is released, you don't hear a single minute; They listen to the whole thing. 🙏🏻💔

One thing that would bring me back to Beirut is family. Lunch with my mother’s cousin Sohaila Bisharat and Grace Said, sister to Edward, who now lives in Beirut after many years in the US. They nicknamed my mother Zouzou short for Josephine. The hospitality and stories shared of their time in Palestine, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon would require a podcast or a book to publish!
Today’s menu was Makloubet Arnabeat which was my mother’s favorite. This was followed by Turkish coffee, crispy watermelon and beautiful desserts from Sfax,Tunis. #ranasalam #gracesaed #edwardsaed #souhailabisharat #beirut #hospitality #lebanesefood #love #family @patisseriemasmoudi

I don’t post a lot of photos of the paternal side of my family. Because I’m extra protective of them. But I’ve been on zoom so much and everyone asks me about the photo hanging behind me so I took it down and realized once again how much I love the Saids. Here are my grandparents, daddy, aunts one uncle and 2 of my cousins in dhour shweir lebanon in the late 1960. #keeptalkingaboutlebanon #palestinians
