POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
A very special #tbt from a few weeks ago when I stepped onto the @tedxlondon stage to share my idea as part of the @ted Conferences Global Idea Search. It still feels surreal. From sending my audition video months ago to being chosen as one of ten people invited to present an idea to such a respected and thoughtful audience - the whole journey has been incredible. We spent two full, intense days together: people from completely different worlds, whose paths might never cross under normal circumstances. And yet, in that room, everything connected. What I didn’t anticipate was how much I would learn simply by listening to the stories unfolding right beside me. There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when people with completely different expertise and lived experiences come together. A shared curiosity. A spark of, “Wait… tell me more.” This experience will stay with me for the rest of my life. We often assume our ideas belong only in our little niche - but it’s extraordinary to see how open people are to listening, caring, and engaging with something new. I left the event full of hope, and with a renewed belief in humanity. I know that sounds profound, but in a moment where so much of the world is focused on AI and what might be lost in the process, it was powerful to be reminded of something timeless: • There is nothing quite like real human connection. • Nothing like witnessing original stories unfold in front of you. • Nothing like people meeting each other with curiosity instead of certainty. Thank you @drjuliashaw @juliamiddleton22 @therealbenhurst @gemmaamaria @maximilianpruefer @leahtalks_ @nyneishabansal @rosavespinoza @dazeaghaji for sharing more about your own worlds, ideas and personal journeys. Huge thanks to the incredible @maryampasha @kstoetzel @sivanson @kellishoo for the invaluable support and the whole team who made it al happen. The wild natural world is disappearing in front of our eyes. In London, we searched for the animals hiding between the trees. One day we may look and find nothing left. Will you act now to make a difference? #theherds #JoinTheHerds #climateaction Footage and edit @aj.muir Filmed at St James Park London
