2026 Winter Brights Boxes on Sale Now! ✨🌈

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My biggest spin to date!! I began this combo spin during Tour de Fleece and lost steam. I started to get excited about my handspun yarn again in September, and spent the latter portion of the month finishing the singles, then plied at the start of October. My finished yarn is 17-18 WPI 2-ply, and I have over 2600 yards to work with. This spin is a mix of Rambouillet, BFL and Shaniko wool, fiber dyed by @cesiumyarn @sixandsevenfiber @716knit and @snugandspunfiberco. I spun and plied everything using my EEW 6.1 @dreaming_robots and measured the yarn using the dreaming robots yardage counter— such a cool tool. The yarn is a fantastic mix of colors and very difficult to photograph!!

I’ve been less precious about single skeins of handspun, and enjoyed working them into accessory designs. I really want to knit myself a handspun garment, I just need to decide if it needs to be a design of my own. Stay turned to see how I use this lovely yarn!

Third year going to the @thesalidafiberfestival with @sdbflower 🧶

This year I came with a plan, yarn for 2 sweaters. First, the Ava Cardigan from @showroomcrochet and a pullover sweater, pattern TBD. I also wanted navy blue but if you swipe you’ll see that did not happen.

Instead I ended up with the most gorgeous dark green from @sixandsevenfiber and a gorgeous brown speckle from @littlesquirrelyarn. If you remember my other speckled pullover, I made that with Little Squirrel yarn too! Which one will be which sweater? I have not decided but I’m excited!
