When we travel somewhere unfamiliar,
our usual patterns soften.
We listen more closely.
We move more slowly.

This retreat isn’t about observing culture from the outside.
It’s about being in relationship with it —
learning through presence, participation, and shared rhythm.

Through music, art, stillness, and reflection, we’ll slow down enough to experience another way of living — and notice what it awakens in us.

This April, we’re gathering in China.

It’s been almost a month since the retreat ended on April 17th—and honestly, it still feels surreal.

This journey was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Now that I’m finally back and grounded in LA, I’m taking a moment to revisit the magic.

Here’s a glimpse of what unfolded on Day 2—a day centered around Release.

We began at the Three Pagodas, standing among symbols of strength and surrender. There, I met parts of myself I was finally ready to thank and let go of. Later, at San Yue Jie, an ancient festival bursting with color and chaos, I saw reflections of my past selves in the marketplace mirrors.

And that night, we gathered under the full moon, wrote our burdens onto lanterns, and let them rise into the night sky—each one carrying a piece of our past, making room for who we are becoming.

This day cracked something open in me. A quiet power. A deeper trust.

I’ll be sharing more retreat highlights soon—but for now, I just wanted to say: I’m home. And I’m changed.
