Isn’t it interesting how the more you grow up you still find yourself retuning to your childhood interests? I was the type of kid that loved to dress up and play pretend. On one (or more) occasion I somehow convinced my little neighbor boy to walk arm in arm with me as I had a fluffy white skirt and some of my moms scrap lace draped over my head as a makeshift veil. I was so proud of myself for putting it all together, as I couldn’t have been more than 5 years old. 30 years have passed and now I get to not only photograph gorgeous real brides on their wedding days, but I also get to return to my dress-up roots as I get to help style models and take branding images of the most stunning gowns for @reneeatelierbridal . I think little me would be delighted with where we’ve ended up.

Branding sessions for @reneeatelierbridal are always so much fun, because they let me have free rein over lighting, styling and poses and we have built this amazing trust with one another. This stunner of a bridal gown reminded me so much of a ballerina, with its voluminous skirt, and ultra-feminine lace bodice. So we quickly slicked back our gorgeous model’s hair (@siyeonakim ) and I commandeered the ballon arch they had lying around from a previous sales event. The colors and textures all came together to really emphasize the levity of the gown. I hope many brides can now envision themselves as a bride with this dress on their wedding day.

Direct a session with me! One of my favorite Salt Lake City based bridal shops had some new gowns come in that needed photos, so they brought me in to photograph them! One evening, 2 flashes, 4 people, and 7 gowns. That’s all we needed to capture some spectacular new product images.
