Amélia, today is your confirmation and I could not be prouder. This is a big moment and a beautiful step in your journey.

You are kind, thoughtful, and stronger than you probably realize. You also manage to make us laugh at the most unexpected times, which feels like a pretty great life skill.

Keep being yourself, keep asking questions, and keep growing into the amazing person you are becoming. And remember, no matter how big you get, you will always be my kid and I will always be in your corner.

Friends and family, feel free to show her some love and congratulations today. She deserves it.

24-01-27: Saturday. My phone has a magnetic wallet that holds 4 cards. My Citi debit, my Apple Card, my health insurance, and a gift card for the Magic Castle. The other day I was meeting a friend for dinner and found a nice meter spot that was $1 an hour. I parked and proceeded to feed the meter. Apple Card - card error. Citi Card - card error. Faulty meter. I find another one a block away. Same issue. No quarters on me, I end up parking in a $7 lot. Needless to say it was pretty annoying. Immediately I go on my apps and request a new card from both Citi and Apple.

Two days later I get tracking numbers. Citi via FedEx, Apple via UPS. FedEx couldn’t deliver and told me to go to the location to get it. So that’s what I did today. I picked up my debit card and activated it. Out of curiosity I track my Apple Card and status Delivered. Yesterday. I go back to my mailroom and of course it’s not there. I hate my building with a passion. I can’t wait to move out. Now my Apple Card is lost. Now I have to contact UPS.

Went to FedEx in the morning then shipped out a Lego set sold on Amazon. Home by 10a and slept till 3p. Haven’t eaten all day @sizzles was around so we decided to go get Pho. I just realized this is our first meal together this month. Between Japan and him getting sick and me working opposite schedules, I joked and said we can just share one bed since we’re no longer home at the same time.

He drove us to Carson and had the biggest bowl of Pho you can imagine. Fell asleep on the drive back. Woke up at 9p and headed to Buttonwillow. Watched both episodes of EXPATS on the drive. Charged my car, got a room at 2am only to get 90m of sleep and mindless surfing till 7am.

@teslacorsa tomorrow. Finally going to see it up close and ride in it and hopefully drive it? I’m excited.

2024-01-21: Sunday Funday. I’ve been back for five days and today was the first day I had real social plans. I’ve been craving @cluck2go , and it worked out that @annaonymous and @atneon were both available. Made plans for 2-5p, so the night before I went to bed by 7a. After lunch, took a nap till 10p. I told myself I’ll do 3-4 hours. Ended up in Santa Fe Springs, driving a stripper home to North Hollywood. Ran out of range and had to supercharge in Sherman Oaks. Then got an airport ride request for 430am. What time did I get home? Seven hours later at 7am. Farewell brunch with @tiffanyjwalker in 3 hours. FML.
