Riddhi & Saumya — two hearts from London, rooted deeply in Bengal, coming home to celebrate a love wrapped in tradition and grandeur; from the sacred rituals to the vibrant chaos, every moment felt like a beautiful bridge between worlds, where timeless Bengali culture met a story that’s entirely their own—this isn’t just a wedding trailer, but a glimpse into a love that travelled far, yet found its truest expression right here, crafted with heart by Biyer Chobi.

Haldi turned into Holi—colors everywhere, laughter louder than the music.
Riddhi & Saumya didn’t just celebrate, they let the moment take over.
A little messy, a lot magical—just the way love should be.

Rest in peace, best girl 🐶❤️‍🩹

In 2017, we adopted Whiskey from the streets of Delhi, after she had been abandoned by the SPCA at six years old. She spent the next nine years living a full, happy, healthy life surrounded by love, and giving it🤍

Under dim lights and louder laughter, Riddhi & Saumya’s cocktail night felt like a story written in slow motion. No chaos, just rhythm — clinking glasses, stolen glances, and a room full of untamed energy. A little wild, a little intimate, and unapologetically fun. This wasn’t just a party, it was a vibe you wish never ended. Nights like these aren’t remembered, they’re relived. 🥂

Some of my students are working on a project of legenga-fication of Indian weddings and how regional drapes are getting squeezed out from modern weddings. The project is in the fieldwork stage-so I don't know what results will show up. But my daughter and son-in-law certainly went totally traditional atpaure Bong way with their wedding, and did all the aesthetic choice themselves.
I loved how they look. And how they roped in local talent to support their ideas.
Most of all, I love their love. That's all a mother can hope and pray for.
