What an incredible afternoon! 🎶✨

We were so honored to welcome distinguished flutist and teacher Dr. Elena Yarritu to SJSU for a masterclass. As a proud SJSU alumna herself, it felt like a true homecoming. We soaked up her insight, warmth, and wealth of experience as both a performer and an educator, and we’re still buzzing from everything we learned.

Fun fact: Dr. Yarritu was Prof. Furuta’s very first flute teacher! 🤩🤓 Full circle moment!

Thank you, Dr. Yarritu, for sharing your artistry with us. And thank you Hiroko for playing with us. We hope you’ll come back soon! 💙💛

6 performances in the past 8 days in Boston, NY, San Jose, and Santa Cruz! Concerts with Einzelton, Parcival Project, @sjsubands and Santa Cruz Symphony! It has been a very full week of traveling and making music but I would not trade it for anything! 🎷 I’m looking forward to prepping new music with MANA for concerts later this month!
