Sure the market on Granville Island is great but have you explored the other side?
Walk down Railspur Alley, drop in on us and all the other makers. Then wander down to check out some art in Federation Building.
The hot chocolate down the lane at @kasamachocolate is sooo delicious- I like the frothed up one. Even more delicious with a @bonmacaronpatisserie
Make an afternoon of it and go to the @circlewellnessspas - I’ve got to book an evening session asap! 😉
Part one- there is so much more!

Please Join Us! A new group exhibition is coming up with artists from across the country, curated by Studio 13’s Diane Blunt.

we made it through the wilderness is a collective show about landscape and what it means to be an artist at this point in our climate history. Through two artist residencies led by Lisa Cristinzo and Liz Toohey-Wiese, 18 artists examined the importance of landscape art in the context of the deforestation of 85% of the world’s forests, uncontrollable wildfires, and catastrophic climate hazards that disproportionately affect the most vulnerable.

In the geological era of Anthropocene, an era defined by humans’ extensive impact on the earth’s geologic makeup, how can humans deepen and balance the relationship between the material and energetic world? What if we held vital matter and its properties with the same rights and freedom, we all strive to have? And are artists the ones that are truly in the position to make ‘matter’ matter?

This show is the culmination of these artists’ experiences and depictions.
