True friends don’t gotta talk every day. ❤️‍🩹 You know I love you, bro. When it’s real, the bond don’t change just because y’all get busy. LOYALTY IS EVERYTHING. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾💯

📲 Send this to your brother or that real friend who already know what it is.

Just for today, I’m choosing peace over chaos, gratitude over negativity, and growth over excuses. Every day doesn’t have to be perfect—just keep moving forward with good energy. 👊🏾✨

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes because my son has been through more than most people know. The same type of sucker shit this old head did to my son happened to me when I was young—and I went left, disappeared into the streets, and lost years of my life behind it.

The old me wanted to fight, hurt people, and make them feel exactly how I felt. I was even mad when my OG told me, “Don’t do nothing.” But this is the new me. I’m tired of being locked up. I’m tired of ending up in hospitals over fighting. I’m choosing growth today, and I’m doing it for my son because I don’t want him to become me—I want him to be better than me.

Alhamdulillah, Carter has real stand-up men around him who will guide him and tell him the truth. And let me say this clearly: D.E. is a disease. If you can’t tell your man when he’s wrong, you’re not being a real man. I’m standing on that.

Talking down on a child and leading him in the wrong direction is no different from encouraging him to sell drugs in my book—it can all lead to jail, pain, or death. Adults are supposed to protect and guide young people, not destroy their confidence.

Carter is only 14, hasn’t even fully hit puberty yet, and already standing 6’1” 😂 Despite everything, my youngin is still smiling, still striving, and still moving forward. Everybody who switched up, stayed quiet, or chose sides lost the opportunity to know a truly special young man.

I don’t want apologies or explanations. You do sucker shit, I’m not crashing out anymore—I’m going to speak the truth and let the world know.

Happy 14th birthday to my youngin, Carter. 🖤❤️💯 Ya pops loves you more than you’ll ever understand. Keep growing, keep shining, and never let anybody break your spirit.

Allahu Akbar. May Allah protect our children, guide the men around them, and grant us all ease. Ameen. 🤲🏾
