Sale update: We’re nearing capacity and will take the 26/27 Indy Pass off sale after midnight tonight. If you, your friends, family, or neighbors want to join Indy for the upcoming season today is the day. Our easy payment plan will remain available until the end of the sale. We’re incredibly grateful to both our passholders and partners, new and returning. Indy’s growth over the past seven years has been extraordinary, and it’s a clear sign that more skiers and snowboarders want to spend their hard-earned money at independent and family-owned ski areas, helping to preserve the soul of skiing. We genuinely look forward to our shared season ahead, and welcome those who are joining us for the first time. Thank you for supporting independent ski areas.

The first resort announcement of the week crosses 3 continents and 2 oceans, connecting the northernmost chairlift in North America to the Land of the Rising Sun and community-focused ski hills in New York and North Dakota. Please give a warm welcome to our newest 6 resort partners for 26/27: Frost Fire, North Dakota; Kandatsu Snow Resort, Japan; Pyhä Ski Resort, Finland; Scotts Cobble/High Peaks XC, New York; Skeetawk and Ski Land, in Alaska. More access means more decisions, and we hope you’ll think intentionally about how you build your winter while putting independent ski areas at the heart of it all. We’re announcing more resorts every day leading up to a big announcement Sept. 8. We’ll continue working through the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Keep your eyes peeled for an email or text if you have already signed up, and if not, get on it quick.

Wow. I only took TWO—yes, two—pictures at @hatcherromp ...phone was nearly dead &, frankly, I was having way too much fun! Took the first of my friend, @willbalcao , & his gal, Ash, on the @skeetawkak lift as they were heading up the mountain at 6:48pm; took the second of @josh.fortenbery & @taylordallasvidic at 4:11am as I was going down to sleep after we wrapped a superbly soggy jam. Thanks @brollinsmusic , @dudemtn 's Cullen , FBX 'Be, & @crystalworl (and the others I didn't know) for hard hootin' til the very last note of the night owl hootenanny. Gratitude to @captainbeardlegs for singing & Elisa from @sunflower_season_ for sharing your piano & Sparky for sharing your cello at the jam, too! Nice guitar work by @johnnybudnik , & mini orchestra with Sparky & @rdetemple & her @fireweedfiddle ! Much appreciation to @roland__roberts for the tunes, the fire, & you & @delwins for the generosity. Massive thanks to my friends & bandmates @djriah , @kevinsview , @camcartland , & @sequoiabean in @supersaturatedsugarstrings ...it was so good to share a stage together & it really meant so much to me that you rearranged family life & travel plans to return home in time to @hatcherromp together! Playing with our band for 15 years & through the introduction of 11 band babies over our band's lifespan is NO SMALL FEAT! I'm honored to play with y'all & impressed by your ability to do it all. Thanks for truly being a BANDFAM! Can't wait to celebrate @kevinsview 's BIRTHDAY with y'all from the stage at @vanstockalaska this Friday! TOOT TOOT THANK YOOT to all my friends & bandmates in @theparkstrippers marching band! I love bumping bass drum so much & ambulating around making mayhem with y'all! I'm psyched to march with you again this coming Saturday at @anchorageconcerts ' Rock the Hill! HUGE THANKS to @blackwaterrailroad & @skeetawkak for a rad weekend of music; y'all really threw down for this year's @hatcherromp , & I'm wishing you all a few days of solid R&R! You've earned it. Thanks for all of it, my friends; amazing work! Thanks to all for coming out & supporting live music; see ya tomorrow at @anchoragemuseum ! #hatcherromp #alaska

Thanks so much to @hatcherromp for having us! We had so much fun playing for y'all and it was SO RAD to catch so many fun bands and solo acts! Thanks to @fine_great_band and @kokkekke for making the long trek from Japan, to @sunflower_season_ for coming up from Olympia, to @kotadosa from rounding crew from New Orleans, to @jmoco.official for hopping the pond from Hawaii, and to @bengagemusic for hauling from the lower 48 (we think Ohio? Oh so many places!) Also bonus thanks to our bud, @evanissharp for BIKING UP TO THE ROMP FROM ANCHORAGE! You're a badass and deserve a shout out bc that was some TRAVELING, too! And IMMENSE GRATITUDE to all the local bands that make our scene the magic community it is (we'll run out of tags if we start trying to tag so—rather than leave anyone out— we encourage you to revisit @crystalworlart 's BEAUTIFUL poster to see them all listed out!) All your art is so good and so collectively diverse, and we're so happy to share this music scene with each and every one of you all! Thank you SO MUCH to @blackwaterrailroad for putting @hatcherromp together; it was amazing! Thanks to @ak_axel for running sound on the Busker Stage, to @joekilhoffer and @hailsaden666 for running the sound on the Happy Stage, thanks to all the vendors for feeding us, abating our thirst, and selling cool shizz, thanks to @skeetawkak and crew for sharing their home and getting us high (ON THE LIFTS, PEOPLE! On the LIFTS!), to @redeyerides for the shuttles, and HUGE thanks to @roland__roberts for giving us musicians a safe spot to rest our danced-out bones! Thank you @fionarona for catching this photo while we belted "Broken Boy!" Thanks to all who came and listened and danced! Our community is freaking amazing! Much love and thanks to all! See y'all this weekend at @vanstockalaska to have another sweet weekend of music and Alaska summer (and come hang to celebrate @kevinsview bday as he SLAYS IT ONSTAGE ON HIS SPECIAL DAY!) Alaska is magic; @hatcherromp was badass. Usually the weekends are wonderful whirlwinds...you might say this weekend was a HAPPY HATCHER HURRICANE! Thanks for including us in your storm, @hatcherromp !

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our first ever Romp Run! Because of your participation, generosity, and donations, we were able to raise over $4,500 for the Noatak Cross Country Team. Every registration, donation, and mile covered helps create more opportunities for young athletes to pursue their goals. We’re grateful to everyone who ran, volunteered, donated, and helped make this event such a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year! Big thank you to @blackwolfenduranceak and @blackwaterrailroad for all of your help and support! #skeetawk #5k #romprun #hatcherpass #kuuk

Finally made it to Hatcher Romp where we saw some of our favorites and discovered some new incredible talent in one of our favorite places. Skeetawk at Hatcher Pass is hard to beat for listening to live music with a view. Loved the free ski lift ride, food and arts vendors, and a solid lineup that exceeded our expectations. Our only regret is that we didn't go on Friday night also. #summerinalaska #skeetawk #hatcherpass #blackwaterrailroad #livemusic
