Winning a @goddessportraits photo shoot by @maribella_portraits was a life changing experience for me, and I can't say enough good things about EVERYONE at their studio! This was the first time I've ever felt truly beautiful, confident, and powerful in my body. This experience created a shift in my self confidence, relationship with my body, and personal magnetism. I'm so incredibly grateful to everyone involved, and for the way my life has changed since this experience. It's November and today is delightfully cold and rainy in Austin. But just because Halloween / Samhain / Spooky Season is over doesn't mean it isn't still alive in my everyday. 🖤 I've been rewatching some of my favorites, like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Penny Dreadful, so I can have those great witchy vibes going while I do other stuff (like cooking or painting my nails), and it's the best. Coffee is one of my favorite beverages and I really enjoy my morning ritual, sipping a hot coffee or espresso and relaxing before I start the day. I've been wanting a French press for YEARS and finally got the opportunity to try this one from Cafe du Chateau (check them out at @_cafe_du_chateau_)! Not only is it beautiful, but it brews some divine coffee! This is the best coffee I've had in a long time (I finally got to use some of the @cafebritt_costarica my dad sent me last year!). 💖

Living in Austin means I'm surrounded by a ton of cool, local breweries -- including Family Business Beer Co! Whenever my sister @maganbagan comes to visit, we try to make a trip over there and enjoy the scenery. Last week we were inspired and bought their Belgian style beer glasses to make candles in!

Of course, the scent is inspired by Supernatural! It's a combination of car smells (Baby), bar smells (whiskey), and magic spells (woodsmoke, cemeteries, spirits, etc.). Maybe someday I'll make more of these as a limited edition, especially if @familybusinessbeerco wants to collab (hit me up!!!).

Today's #MarchMeetTheMaker prompt is "focus and priorities" which is fitting since I just spent the past 2 days setting intentions for this lunar cycle and beyond. Confession: one of my intentions and priorities this year is to become more comfortable with, and love, my body. It's quite a complex and fraught relationship. One way I am doing this is by actually looking at myself more -- in the mirror and in photos -- thus these brave selfies I've been sharing lately. Another focus for this year is on building and getting to know my community (my own "bad girl coven", if you will).
