MURDER!! It’s not technically against the law in The Rift (there are not technically any laws in The Rift to begin with), but it is considered very impolite!! WHO DUN IT?? And what dun did they do? Find out for yourself in a one-night-only fantasy noir LARP: ARSENIC AND AN OLD MACE Film Noir/detective fiction-inspired fantasy garb encouraged! ———————— A LARP at the Tiny Minotaur is an interactive theater experience, in which you and your fellow taverngoers take on fantasy personas, immerse yourselves in the world of The Rift, and drive the story in real time. Team up with your fellow adventurers and work toward a plan. Or go rogue and do your own thing! As long as you aren’t being a jerk, your destiny is in your own hands... Costumes and role play are REQUIRED to participate, but don’t get too stressed - it’s all for fun! We’ll hold a brief talk just before the LARP begins at 8 to go over the rules and help you get into character. ———————— ARSENIC AND AN OLD MACE 🔪 Sunday, October 18th 🔪 DOORS: 7:00pm - 11:00pm 🔪 LARP Basics: 7:45pm 🔪 LARP begins at 8:00pm 🔪 $20 for tavern members and up to 3 guests 🔪 $30 for non-members 🔪 Fantasy costumes and role play REQUIRED to participate 🔪 Age 21+ #atx #austinevents #fantasytavern

Big thanks and huzzahs to everyone who came out to last night’s LARP! The beauty of nature was preserved, a venal capitalist was punished, and we were even blessed with an appearance from the patron deity of the glizzies of the universe: Holiday Frank! What else could anybody want?? Also the weekly @enter.the.darc D&D campaign was happening in the other room, presumably having an unrelated adventure. 📸 courtesy Vyrsa, @picklepuppyart, @getdowncharliebrown, @sedately_deadly, & @dicerangers #atx #fantasytavern #🌭 #🍗

So, you think you like LARPing, PUNK? You DO? Well that’s great news, so do we! THIS FRIDAY, join us in The Rift and and immerse yourself in the fantasy world of the Tiny Minotaur Tavern for a full-on in-character night! All experience levels welcome! Since we’d like this to stay as accessible as possible, we won’t be sticklers for deep role play and elaborate costuming, but we strongly encourage you to arrive in costume and with a character in mind. Role play prompts will be available at the gatehouse if you’d like a little inspiration! Up-front disclaimer: our role play events do NOT involve physical combat, and any potentially-dangerous weapons must be peace tied at the door (or left in your car). Also: respect other people’s boundaries, and don’t be a jerk! PLUS!: live music from local guitarist and music theory savant @sweetbeastsounds ; ballads of your heroism, surely —————— * WORLD COLLIDE: LARP Mixer * Friday, February 27th * Doors: 7:00pm * Free for tavern members and their guests * Up to 3 free guests per member * $10 for non-members * Ages 21+ #austintx #larp #fantasytavern #huzzah

YARR! Thar she blows!! 🏴‍☠️ By “thar” of course I mean “On Pirate Night this Friday, February 20th at the Tiny Minotaur Tavern” By “she” I am referring to a special cocktail: KEELHAULED IN KARTH! May not prevent scurvy but almost certainly will not CAUSE scurvy either. And by “blows” i mean “the aforementioned cocktail will be available for one night only!” That night being “Pirate Night”, which i explained before. “yarr” roughly translates to “yarr” Huzzah to potion master @kevrhodeo for the delightful beverage and sign and photograph <3

Big thanks to everyone who came out for this past Saturday’s @dragmetothetavern Cinderelliot fundraiser show! Honestly: it was an emotional night! (in a positive way, i mean 🥲) 💕 Here are some “artistically (?)” blurry PICS to remember it by, featuring the heavenly visages of: 👑 Sir @travisrandytravis_ 👑 @sir.beau.elliot esquire 👑 @thetransera 👑 @v.enusrising 👑 @damiana.divine 🧢 @sketchforge 📸: @mckinneynsons BIG big thanks to @tribrelations for the collab and BIG BIG big thanks to all of the generous folks who donated to Sir Beau’s top surgery fund. We gotta look out for each other! Drag Me to the Tavern is taking a month off for January as Sir Beau heals up, but don’t fret: we’ll be back with a vengeance in February. HUZZAH! etc!!
