The US Forest Service plans to spray up to 75,000 Acres in the Lake Tahoe area with glyphosate, including campgrounds, trailheads and ski areas. They are doing so to purportedly accelerate wildfire recovery. Spraying is already underway in Eldorado.

The reality is that they are killing deciduous trees, native shrubs, flowering plants, and anything that competes with the commercially attractive conifer trees used by the timber industry. Additionally, the suggested benefits of spraying glyphosate for wildfire prevention can be achieved through other, non-chemical methods that don’t kill entire ecosystems.

We need your help. Please call all of these offices and tell them why you do not want glyphosate sprayed. Leave a message if they don’t pick up.

It was something we will never forget. 🤍

When you have a destination wedding often times everything gets wrapped up in one, but when you start thinking about your one year anniversary it’s a celebration and deserves its space to be remembered forever. We took a trip, a honeymoon of sorts, since the one thing we didn’t do after the wedding is do something just us for us.

Of course the snow covered mountains were calling. I wanted somewhere new because adding another mountain to our map is always exciting. Heading west we landed on California. To the normal eye most would assume sunny skies and beaches…. in reality California has so much more to offer. We went north, searching for a mountain adventure and it did not disappoint.

Living life without kids is wild, so much time available for things we often put aside. We rode snow covered mountains, captured sun tans, checked out the town, dined out, hit the hiking trails, saw beautiful views and had some much needed us time. It’s times like this that we will always cherish.

Palisades, Tahoe is a whole other world. Home of the 1960 Olympics, spring skiing capital of the world, unlimited outdoor adventures, lively downtown and centered around a family environment. We enjoyed every bit of our trip and hope to bring the kids back one day, continuing those everlasting memories.

So we made it, one year down and forever to go. I hope we never forget this and our love, always seeking those adventures and exploring the world. I love you @dgriffholla thank you for doing life with me.
