Thought I’d give yall a taste of my homework 📚for my Intro to Media Studies (MFS101) class I’m in this semester! 🎬

This class so far had a number of readings and short readings, as well as mini media projects, and viewings of films.

For this assignment, we had a choice of prompts for our series of 5-10photos, I chose the prompt that said “What can a photograph present as “authentic,” and what does it construct or invent?”
I decided to show a series of photos showing the authenticity of emotion through dance, and creating different feels of emotion through the editing of either black and white or in color in a dance studio.🧑‍🩰

‘A Feeling of With’ opens August 8th! 🌀

Co-curated with @skidmorecollege faculty across six academic fields, ‘A Feeling of With’ is three interconnected exhibitions that bring art from the #TangCollection into conversation with language, movement, nature, mathematics, and spirituality.

Together, these three exhibitions explore how we understand ourselves in relation to our bodies, one another, the natural world, and the sacred.

Artworks:
- @atongatem, ‘Fruit of the Earth,’ 2016, digital chromogenic print on Dibond
- @cutler_amy, ‘Siege’ (detail), 2004, gouache on paper
- @gracedegennaro, ‘Temple 17 (Dawn)’ (detail), 2026, watercolor and colored pencil on Somerset paper A central figure is seen from the chest up with eyes closed, and face painted black and gray, accented by bold white lines and pale purple circles on their cheeks. Their head and shoulders are surrounded by flowers, leaves, berries, and vines in purple, green, burgundy, blue, and yellow. A gold nose ring and chunky silver necklace are also worn.

This past year we celebrated 25 years of the Tang Museum with exhibitions, events, classes, and community. Whether you’ve been visiting since we opened or discovered us for the first time this season, thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next 25 years of art and ideas! Blurred greenery hangs on the top and left foreground, framing several people standing and talking in an indoor space with a pale blue wall displaying many colorful books on floating shelves and red text reading “25 YEARS OF TANG PUBLISHING.” To the right, a large red exclamation point graphic has the number “25” inside its circular dot.
