Eagle Point Resort announced today, Aug. 3 that it will not open for skiing this winter.

“The damage to our lifts is significant, and the full extent of that damage is still being evaluated,” said Eagle Point Resort owner Shane Gadbaw.

After so much destruction,
We are to learn about the loss of the brown family cabin,
Which they have loved for 30 years.
A mountain home built by their very own hands,
And filled with so much love.

This fire has caused countless destruction, and the loss of hundreds of acres in over 100 homes.
Now, we will all have to rebuild and find new hope in the future.
Please keep the ground family in your prayers 🙏

We received verified photos and videos yesterday from Lane Tucker, who was helping us assess what could be seen around our Alpine Mountain escape property.
Based on the photos and videos Lane sent us, our building appears to still be standing. The fire came incredibly close and we are grateful beyond words that it did not reach further.
At the same time, we are deeply aware of that many in Eagle point and Beaver County community are facing devastating loss, uncertainty, and heartbreak. The mountain is more than a place to visit- it’s a community of families, workers, homeowners, local businesses, guides, guests, and friends.
We are so grateful today for Lane and our partnership with Tucker high adventure Tours. @tuckerhighadventuretours their presence on the mountain has been an integral part of the life and success of this community, and we are thankful for the way Lane continues to show up for other people here.
We hope to be able to provide you with more updates on the situation in the coming days.
Keep Eagle point and the Beaver County community in your prayers.
