In honor of Bosa on the one-year anniversary of her passing, a group of us over @skillhouse.studio wanted to create from some of Bosa’s favorite scriptures. This is my contribution, inspired by Galatians 2:20.

I sang a melody to the passage alongside a rendition of words Bosa wrote and sang:

“Come and kill my flesh. Come and kill my flesh. I want to be the walking dead.”

Bosa wrote these words out of a prayer of surrender. Bosa’s greatest desire was to please God, laying down her own will to be fully yielded to Him. That’s the heart behind this song, and it’s the legacy she leaves behind.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…” — Galatians 2:20

Miss you always, my sister, @itsbosa

Influence doesn’t create character.

It reveals it.

The future belongs to creatives who can steward both.

Been a creative since I was a kid. Felt called to use my gifts for the Lord as a teen. Thought my gifts were only meant to exist in the context of church, but felt the Lord remind me there’s more He wants to do through my creativity when I attended the Creative’s Intensive. To this day, I’ve felt supported and surrounded because of that weekend.

If you know God is asking you to be in different industries with your creativity and you need to know you’re not the only one, come get in the room! Be a part of this AXL Creative’s Intensive!

When they talk about the little chipping away that you never see day to day as you work toward a goal… this is what we’re talking about.

But on a serious note, every designer who cares about your project will spend the time to find the type/text that fits your project best.

Rest assured, my team and I will spend the time to make sure your project has this level of care.

So what are you waiting for? Talk to us. It’s time to bring your vision to life.

Hit us up. Click “Talk to Us” in our bio.

Me to me. Look, I’ll raise all the hands I got because I’ve been guilty of inaction. I even know I’ve felt much better after talking about what I was going to do rather than actually doing it.

After learning about this study I was thrown for a loop. I realize, yeah, I really wasn’t getting much done. I had to decide and start forward motion.

I’ve heard it only takes 18 minutes a day consistently to become better than the average person in any discipline. People spend more than 1hr on social media daily. You have 18 minutes to give to whatever it is you want to master - so just go do it.

Don’t put it off for tomorrow. Let’s get better today! 💪🏽

I asked God what He wanted me to post, and He highlighted this clip. I was 40 takes deep in trying to explain more succinctly my answer to the question, “How do you not get frustrated while creating content?”

I was authentically in the midst of having a moment of frustration, haha. I truly thought I had stopped the recording and then realized I hadn’t. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t. I wanted to show you that I really do stop to ask the Lord what to do and for His help.

Right after that, I got the take I posted yesterday in one minute. And on here, every second is borrowed time, lol. Being succinct is important. Being clear is important. But being in His will is the only way.

So, Kingdom creative, don’t power through. Stop and ask the Holy Spirit what to do and how to do it. He’ll answer.

Creating content for ever-changing, ever-evolving platforms can get frustrating at times. What has worked best for me is creating margin!

Here’s what it looks like for me to create margin:
1. Asking my God (the reason why I do anything) what He wants me to say, what He wants me to create, and how.
2. I time block. Here’s what my time block looks like:
* Ask the Lord what He wants me to say. (5–10 minutes)
* Ask Him how He wants me to create. (5–10 minutes)
* Ideate, brainstorm the different ways I can make what God gave me. (30 minutes)
* Create. Iterate. Get it done. (30 minutes – 3 hours) Whatever it is, I give myself an end time. This helps me stay focused and honed in to get it done.

Really missing the sights and sounds of the Philippines. Every piece truly deserved my full attention. It was hard to look away or treat it as mundane.

Perhaps it was someone else’s everyday but for me it was awe in the new perspective. I really had to stop myself from comparing the life I was temporarily living there to the one I live at home. This perspective, honestly made me love this country of islands more.
