Rhys and I sat down with @songcake_live to discuss the making of Primary Colours, Night Life, and the legendary @rolandglobal SH09 - the synth we’ve probably used more than any other.

Happy Birthday Jordan! Cover photo from 2014 - his previous band Telegram were on tour with the Dandy Warhols, and we played with them in Milan. The Horrors are lucky to have him 🖤🖤🖤

Sheena is a Parasite, our debut 7” single, was released 20 years ago this month on Loog Records. Recorded onto tape by Seb Lewsley at Edwyn Collins’ West Heath Studios, and definitely influenced just as much by bands like Les Georges Leningrad, Liars, and DNA as it was by 60s Garage.

Our old friend @discordo designed the sleeve, featuring the Vox Continental organ. Each member put together their own insert - Josh’s was a “build your own fuzz pedal” diagram, Joe did a guide on how to sew a pair of drainpipes, Tom’s was a paisley pattern I think, mine was a photo of the contents of my desk drawer… what was Rhys’?

Thanks @nyc_forgottenyears for the reminder

For the past eight months, I’ve had the privilege of hosting @forthelostradio — curating a space for poetry, radio plays, discussions, music and beautiful experimentation.

✨ A space for underrepresented and emerging voices, held alongside more established artists.

✨ A show where new and existing work can be intimate, fragile, strange, improvised, curious — and still be heard.

✨ A show committed to creating inclusive spaces and widening access to radio experience, especially for artists who are often overlooked.

✊🏽This space only exists because @resonancefm remains independent, ad-free and artist-led.

This February, the station is raising £30,000 to protect that independence.

If you’ve:
- Been a guest on the show and enjoyed your experience
- Discovered a new artist through the show
- Connected with something you’ve heard and it has stayed with you

Please consider donating what you can before 28 February at fundraiser.resonance.fm - LINK IN BIO!

Thank you for helping keep this frequency alive!
