Every time I think of the children and people in Falasteen, my heart aches. I hold back tears, wishing I could hug them and assure them it’s going to be okay. To our people, we see you, we hear you—stay strong. We will not stop till you are free! ❤️✊

How can we celebrate Mother’s Day when mothers in Palestine are picking up the body parts of their children off the street.

I refuse to be intimidated by your hatred and aggression; instead, it ignites a fiercer dedication to my cause. I stand firm in my pursuit of justice for my family and for Palestine. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ I will have my justice!

This was VicPol’s official statement to the media regarding the terrorist attack on my family: ‘The bottle did not ignite,’ ‘there was only minor damage to the front door.’

But I ask you, how would their statement read if we weren’t a family of color? This is disgraceful and discriminatory.

It’s clear from the video that the ‘bomb’ exploded, and we’re fortunate the damage was minor. What will it take for these attacks to be taken seriously? Must someone be injured or worse?

Shame on you, VicPol. Your language must change, and the discrimination must end.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. - Martin Luther King Jr.
