POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

this fall I have found myself drawn to hikes and spaces that I have done before, sometimes recently, sometimes not for many years. It has allowed me to practice mindfulness and gratitude in a very new way, and stretched me quite a bit.

What’s your favorite thing about hiking the same trail?

Here she is in all her #fpp glory. This #marineanimalquilt was a request from my Aunt. She approached me last year with a design concept and after multiple iterations this is what she decided on. She’s always loved marine mammals and was the one who influenced my early obsession with dolphins and whales. This project was time consuming (so many pieces) and a bit challenging. It didn’t come out exactly as I had planned but I’m pretty happy with the results. I went with some simple sectioned curves for the quilting to limit ocean waves. Many thanks to all the amazing pattern designers; @belhaven.quilts @joejuneandmae @etive_and_co @patternsbyshaley @kitschempire @tartankiwidesigns @skinnybugstudio #quiltme #mainequilter #foundationpaperpiecing #quiltsinthewild

I'm honored to have my otter pattern make an appearance in the marine animal quilt @sewamainezing is making. What a great collection of designs from different artists. Am loving all the rich blues.

I popped in to @bigfootquilts this morning to see how #wwqsh was going. Everyone is still standing with smiles on their faces. 🙂 Look at this awesome quilt produced using the #shophop block! All from an assortment of scraps in specific colorways. Love it!

I present you the Wonky Block. The official block created for @bigfootquilts submission to this year's Western Washington Shop Hop. It's a foundation paper pieced block that has loads of potential. It's been fun to see what people are doing with it.

Stopped by @crafttheorylakewood to see the new space. Grand opening on Saturday! If you are in the area be sure check it out. Take a class (or two). Shop from local makers. Best wishes, Meredith - the place looks great! ❣️

Knit a little (or a lot) with a drawstring project bag. Found at @alittleknitty - more than just a yarn shop.

It's Friday! The PNW Yarn Crawl is still going on so check out all the participating shops for all the yarner goodies - like this project bag at @alittleknitty made by yours truly. 😎 You can shop online, too! Have a great weekend.
