Wow… I am just in complete shock.. I am so incredibly blessed as tonight my recording studio, Scarlett Sound Studio, @scarlett_sound_studiotn won the 2025 NAMM TEC Award in the Studio Design Project category.. I was up against six other studios in the world.. I’d like to thank @carltatz and @mike_rhodes_skinnyfish @skinnyfishaudio for their amazing work in making a lifelong dream come true but most of all my incredible wife Ashley who is so unbelievably loving and supportive.. This would never have happened without her… My beautiful kids Scarlett and Sammy, all my family, my dear mom and dad who always believed in me… and @taylorswift and the Swift family for the most amazing 17 years (and counting) of my career…My heart is so full of gratitude.. And thank you to ALL who voted.. I love each and every one of you!!! ☺️❤️👍🏻🎉

When it comes to studio equipment, it’s not just about owning the best gear – it’s about how you connect it. Proper wiring integration is the backbone of any well-functioning studio. Here’s why:

🔌 Signal Quality Matters: Poor wiring can introduce noise, interference, or signal degradation, compromising the clarity of your sound. High-quality cables and proper connections ensure a clean, professional-grade signal path.

⚡ Equipment Longevity: Incorrect wiring or mismatched connections can strain your gear, potentially leading to damage over time. A well-integrated setup keeps everything running smoothly and safely.

🎛️ Efficient Workflow: Messy or poorly labeled wiring can lead to confusion, downtime, and frustration. A well-organized system means you can focus on your creativity, not troubleshooting cables.

🛠️ Scalability: Planning your wiring with future upgrades in mind makes it easier to expand your setup without starting from scratch.

Your studio is your creative haven – don’t let bad wiring hold you back. Let us help you achieve optimal performance and reliability!

Couldn’t be more grateful for this space, @carltatz and his team did an incredible job… truly a master of his craft. So much precision went into making each room sound a certain way which brings out that subtle detail in whatever is being recorded. The Phantom Focus system is beyond anything I could have imagined. Also, lucky to have @skinnyfishaudio and his team wiring/routing everything, a master of what he does and the efficiency it’s already brought to my workflow is unbelievable. #blackcatstudio #tennessee #carltatz #phantomfocussystem

To help us mark the completion of this dream project, my good friend (and fellow Parks & Rec enthusiast) Mike from @henthorn_media came to Nashville last month and shot this gorgeous piece for our website. I can’t imagine anything capturing the vibe of @wheelhousestudionashville like this video does. It’s part studio porn, part coffee commercial, and if you’ve never experienced Dexter in slo-mo I highly recommend watching till the end!

Well after 3 years of planning, designing, building, wiring, etc. I’m proud to finally announce that Wheelhouse Studio Nashville is officially complete and fully operational! This is the first free-standing, fully isolated, sound proof studio that I’ve ever owned and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the result or more excited for what’ll be coming out of this place. Check out the new website (link in bio) for more pics and even some official WH merch (cuz why not?). You can also follow the entire building process in story highlights over at @wheelhousestudionashville (📸: @libbydanforth)

Our beautiful, original @tridentaudio 80C console was restored by Mike Rhodes of @skinnyfishaudio, responsible for the custom-design of Spellbound's audio wiring.

Our wiring includes the crystal-clear glass paneled kitchen area, and even outdoors on our serene stone patio!
