Had such a good time jamming today with @movewithtara and @polewithgal at @skins_poledance 💫
It wasn’t the most “structured” training — no plan, no strict goals, not even both sides 😅
But that’s the beauty of these kinds of sessions.
Different energies always bring out different sides of me, new ideas, new shapes.
Sometimes you don’t need to train — you just need to play.
I always leave these jams feeling inspired and recharged.
The energy from others stays with me even in my solo training later.
Balance, connection, creativity — that’s what keeps it fun.

Flow isn’t something you learn.
It’s something you uncover.
You already have it — under the layers of rushing, overthinking, and trying too hard to “look good.”

Flow is what happens when you stop performing and start feeling.
When you drag the hand a little longer.
When you melt into transitions instead of jumping to the next move.
When you trust that your breath and weight can lead.

You don’t need more choreography.
You need more presence.
More softness.
More curiosity.

Everyone loves a good wave.
But if you’re only moving because the music tells you to—you’re not in control.
You’re following, not leading.
That’s why I teach waves without music at first.
No beat. No vibe. Just your spine, your breath, and the raw mechanics.
Because once you understand the structure—
the shift of weight, the path of the ribs, the drop of the hips—
then you can start layering expression.
Only when you control the wave, can you truly let it go.
Music doesn’t create flow.
You do.
And when you’ve built the wave from the inside out—
any song becomes yours to play with.
That’s the goal.

Static doesn’t mean static. Especially not here.
Seated static rotations are one of my favorite ways to warm up the pole and my body — but they’re also a perfect playground for refining style, control, and that in-between magic that often gets overlooked.

Here are my go-to tips for making this move feel intentional and fluid:
– Let your legs work through internal rotation
– Let your gaze lead the spin — it changes everything
– Keep your body low (almost parallel to the floor)
– Top hand wraps over the pole and pushes against the rotation
– Thighs squeeze gently — just enough to anchor
– Think of your energy expanding away from the pole
– Keep your arms low, stretched, and close to the hips during the turn

This is one of those deceptively “simple” movements that rewards repetition.
The more you practice it, the more your unique texture and timing will start to show.
It’s not just a spin — it’s a sketch.
And you get to decide what you draw with it.

This pole dance routine was born out of deep emotion and inspiration from the TV show #adolescence
I created it as a heartfelt tribute for my studio’s 1-year celebration.

Just two days before the performance, I discovered the perfect song from the TV show — one that spoke to me in ways I didn’t expect. It unlocked feelings I hadn’t allowed myself to feel, and I poured them into this choreography.

As a mother, a pole artist, and a studio owner, life often pulls me in different directions. The lack of time, the emotional weight, the struggle for presence — all of it shaped this piece. This routine is a reminder that movement is a language for what words cannot hold.

I hope it reaches other pole dancers and artists who seek to move from the heart — who use pole not just for strength and beauty, but as a path to self-expression and healing.
