✈️ Weekend a Skopje? 🏛️Ecco una breve guida delle attrazioni che mi hanno più colpito, in questa capitale ancora troppo sottovalutata. 🇲🇰 Ho trovato una città davvero viva e ricca di contrasti, fra passato ottomano e neoclassicismo. Un grande Arco di Trionfo che dà inizio all’accesso pedonale della città e porta alla Piazza Macedonia. Il cuore simbolico e la piazza principale, famosa per l’immensa statua di Alessandro Magno, il guerriero a cavallo. La casa museo di Madre Teresa sorge sul luogo della distrutta chiesa del Sacro Cuore di Gesù dove fu battezzata. Il ponte che unisce le due anime diverse della stessa città, la città moderna e quartiere ottomano. Skopje è chiamata anche la città dalle mille statue. Questa è una della più caratteristiche situata dopo il Ponte di Pietra e rappresenta il padre di Alessandro Magno che domina una grande fontana circondata da sculture di guerrieri e leoni. La fortezza che domina la città, con la bandiera che sventola orgogliosa dalle sue torri. Un gioiello di architettura e simbolo di fede Ortodossa. Si trova accanto al Memoriale di Madre Teresa. Un’elegante gemma ottomana del XV secolo e una delle moschee più importanti dei Balcani, situata appena sopra il vecchio bazar. Un particolare bambino alla Golden hour, sul bellissimo Ponte Delle Arti, arricchito da decine di statue di artisti e musicisti macedoni. Il vivace quartiere bohémien appena fuori dal centro. Una passeggiata rilassante sulle rive del fiume Varna. Un altro bellissimo ponte pedonale circondato da statue di grandi personaggi storici. I Tre ponti principali si trovano proprio uno accanto all’altro. La Cattedrale di San Clemente di Ohrid è la più grande chiesa ortodossa della Macedonia del Nord, e spicca per la sua architettura diversa dai soliti canoni tradizionali.
