Perseids Meteor shower peak night
Travelled towards Ranikot fort a bortle 2 sky with friends Kashif Bhai from Multan and Aslam Bhai from Sann .
Caught a few astonishing fire balls and saw hundreds of them with naked eye.
This time I have tracker sky watcher Star Adventurer pro pack with me so things are way easier specially in long exposure shots.

Cosmos 101 is an Astronomy and Astrophotography course designed for beginners coming from all academic backgrounds. Taught over the span of 5 weeks, the course takes participants through both theoretical knowledge and practical observations using state of the art telescopes.

Participants will be able to learn about, see, photograph and process images of night sky objects such as the Planets, the Moon, the Sun, Galaxies and Nebulae. The approach to this course is non-technical, free of jargon, and easy to understand to cater to all audiences.

Previously taught in LUMS, this course combines nearly a decade of experience in Astronomy and Astrophotography and public outreach/community service into 5 weeks of practical, hands on, real world knowledge.

📍 Kickstart Offices, M. M. Alam Road, Lahore, Pakistan.
⌚ 7-8 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from June 26th to July 25th.
PKR 18000 per participant.

LAST’s June monthly meeting was all about making a budget friendly basic telescope. Our esteemed speaker Ali Khan ( @ak196606 ) guided the audience in a fun way the physics behind the telescope. Assembled the telescope live using 2meters PVC pipe, black chart papers, half litre empty disposable water bottle and bunch of equipment like cutters and scissors.

Then team LAST took the newly made telescope on rooftop of the venue and actually tried to see various distant objects.

At the end of the session, @artworkbyhusnain displayed their “Astro embroidery” which was widely liked by LAST members. Please head to their page, they have wonderful designs for sale!
