For @skyeunited women's State League 3 South East team they had to overcome a resilient Alphington to come from behind and clinch promotion on the final round of the season.

🔥 1ST 🆚 2ND | PLENTY ON THE LINE 🔥

Mornington have already booked their place in State League 2, but the race for the second promotion spot is far from over. 👀

Skye United currently have their hands on it, but with Melbourne Uni sitting just ONE point behind, every result from here matters.

There could be goals in this one too. 👀🔥
Mornington bring two of the league’s biggest threats, with Golden Boot leader Melanie Nicholson on 17 and Caitlyn Robinson close behind on 14. For Skye, Alex Jones has been leading the charge with 12 of her own. 🎯

Three of the league’s top scorers. 1st vs 2nd. Who makes the difference when it matters? 👀

Can Skye knock off the league leaders and strengthen their grip on promotion, or will Mornington throw another twist into the race? 👀🔥

𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗡! 😬

The bottom two sides in State League 1 South East battle it out this Friday night in what can only be described as a 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙞𝙭 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧! 🤝

@collingwoodcityfootballclub are currently on a 4 game losing streak as they’re running out of time in the hunt for survival.

A win for @skyeunited will put them level with St Kilda on 13 points before they host Doveton on Saturday.

This one is 𝗕𝗜𝗚! 🍿

Thank you @skyeunited for the past few months. It’s truly been a pleasure to be part of this amazing club and to have met so many incredible people.

This season hasn’t gone the way we wanted, but I’m proud of what we’ve built in our historic first year in State league 1. I’m excited to see what the rest of the season has in store.

Skye is the limit

Our next Hot n Dangerous stop takes us to State League 3 Women’s South-East, where Mornington SC Women have caught our attention. 🔥

While Skye United sit top of the table and Chisholm United have been piling on the goals, Mornington have quietly put together one of the strongest campaigns in the competition.

📈 5 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss
🛡️ Best defensive record in the league
⚽ Just 3 goals conceded in 7 matches
🔥 Only 2 points off top spot

The numbers speak for themselves. Mornington have built their season on consistency, resilience and a defence that’s proving incredibly difficult to break down.

With the title race still wide open, they remain firmly in the hunt and are shaping as one of the competition’s genuine contenders.

Mornington are knocking on the door. Hot. Dangerous. And coming in strong. ⚽️🔥
