POSITION BATTLES 2026-2027 FB SEASON: RUNNINGBACKS! Here is who will be fighting for the RB1 spot this fall 🦫🏈 Cornell Hatcher (Sophomore) - Hatcher had a productive true freshman season, where he shined in limited opportunity behind Anthony Hankerson putting up 292yds and 2TDs. He was a key returnee this past offseason for this offensive unit. The physical runner is also a good back on 3rd downs as he can pass catch well. Going to be the top candidate for this RB1 spot as we get into spring ball. AJ Newberry (Senior) - The Vanderbilt transfer was a key addition from the Transfer Portal this offseason, as he adds experience for this younger unit. Newberry posted 338yds rushing for 6TDs at Vandy, and adds impressive receiving ability as he also added 152yds receiving and 2TDs on that end. The fast and explosive back provides a good all around mix of every play style and will be fun to watch in Corvallis in this new system. Tre Garrison (Freshman) - Garrison is a newcomer from the 2026 Class, and was ranked in the top 55 RBs nationally. Garrison also signed with Washington State, before flipping to Oregon State after coaching change. He will look to pounce on an open roll for the three deep, and is my pick to keep an eye on. Jake Reichle (Senior) - Reichle has mainly been a redzone and special teams specialist through his Oregon State tenure. While he has not seen much volume so far, it will be interesting to see how he is used with this new staff and how he can change the game with his pure physicality and strength. Kourdey Glass (Rs Freshman) - Kourdey, a class of 2025 prospect, and was redshirted last season after appearing in 4 games. The physical all around back is looking to see more opportunity under the new staff, and if impressing he could see a much bigger role this year. Skyler Jackson (Redshirt Freshman)- Jackson, the son of Oregon State legend Steven Jackson, did not see much run in his first year at OSU and redshirted after appearing vs Lafeyette, where he tallied his sole carry for the year. He will look to build his spot in the offense this fall in a brand new season. Who do you think will be RB1? 👀🦫 #GoBeavs #TheDamStandard

Most people spend first and save what’s left. That’s backwards. Pay yourself first. At the end of the day, money only does two things: it gets spent… or it gets stacked. 💰 #securethebag #oregonstatefootball #financialliteracy #studentathletes #moneymindset
