POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

New reads just hit the shelves 📚

A little bittersweet this week with Dolly Parton’s Good Lookin’ Cookin’ among them. We may have lost an icon, but we’re very happy to have a little piece of Dolly here at Dinner Party. ❤️

Plus: a seriously good cocktail book + a deep dive into all things olive oil.

Come flip through ’em. Maybe leave with one. Probably leave with one.

Our resident culinary bestie and storyteller @thekimimichelle got into all things #OliveOil with @skylermapes, the AMAZING co-founder of @exauoliveoil, the award winning olive oil made in the Calabria region of #Italy.

Check out their most recent live, where they talk about all things olive oil, being one of only a handful of Black women in the industry, why you should probably not get that big ol tin of olive oil from Costco, and more about her book, The Olive Oil Enthusiast.

Check it out!

Ever heard of #fatwashing? ... or Zucchini Simple Syrup?

Yes... that's @exauoliveoil being used as an ingredient in this week's Ultimate Summer Cookout beverage, @thekimimichelle's Zucchini Gin Giblet!

Socks knocked off? Keep them there! Expect nothing less from our Culinary Storyteller!

Same for her instagram live interview today with @skylermapes!

We're talking you to Calabria today and you won't want to miss it!

Skyler is the cofounder of EXAU Olive Oil, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and the author of The Olive Oil Enthusiast.

As one of the only Black female olive oil producers GLOBALLY, she has scaled EXAU 6x in six years and earned widespread media recognition, including features in The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, and Oprah's Favorite Things.

This is a MUST WATCH! Tune in at 1pm EST!

No hotdogs and hamburgers over here! Talk about awaken your palate... Ready to slap ya mama, #respectfully?! Ya Culinary Bestie, Chef Kimi transforms food in a way we've never seen or experienced.

This week, on Episode 4 of The Ultimate Summer Cookout, she wows us with a spin on Zucchini and creates a homemade pasta with fresh zucchini sauce and by fresh, I mean straight from the backyard! But it doesn't stop there. She sourced Calabrian nduja to accompanynthe flavors from our featured ingredient of the week... @skylermapes Exau Olive Oil!

Yes... Chef Kimi went international with this cook and even paired it with a zucchini gin giblet. She's on another level and teaching us to elevate our cooking to be out of this world as well.

Check out the full cook on YouTube at 2pm EST and tune in tomorrow as we learn about the history of olive oil and story behind #ExauOliveOil. She's bringing Calabria 🇮🇹 to our homes with special guest #SkylerMapes and introducing us to this Black-owned olive oil brands, which we hear is super rare! We are honored to hear about her journey and the intention behind her creation.

Day 15: Calabria keeps finding new ways to surprise me!!!

The day started the best way possible, slow morning, relaxing at the beach, and lunch with our group at @spox_soverato. Then… reality called, and some of us had to get back to work😂

But what a way to spend an evening….We welcomes hundreds of guests to the beautiful Castello Di Squillace for a celebration of Calabrian cuisine. I had the incredible honor of creating an assortment of desserts alongside Chef Paolo Caridi, while @chefsilviabarban prepared fresh pasta and the talented chefs from @ipittagorici showcased the flavors and traditions of this extraordinary italian region

Being able to share Italy’s culinary heritage in a place so rich with history is something I’ll never forget. Grateful for another unforgettable day in Calabria, and hope to have you all join us on the fun next year(dm us to join in 2027!!!)❤️🇮🇹

“AMERICAPRESE” 😂 It’s not *quite* tomato time yet in most of the USA, and a good fresh mozzarella is nearly impossible to find—so cottage cheese it is! Since I’m recovering from recent illness, I opted for dried oregano instead of fresh basil.

But what brings this all together is the @exauoliveoil I generously drizzled over this. Their TURI olive oil already carries the notes of oregano, making everything sensible to the palate, and offering the health benefits of polyphenols. Check them out for more info on that!

EXAU is my most highly recommended source for olive oil, hands down.

(Eating the salad while I post this, and my mouth is watering!)

Big thanks to Skyler and Giuseppe for their graciousness.
