She’s ALWAYS had a big belt. 🔥

But natural power is only one part of a truly versatile voice.

I remember her belting out This Girl Is on Fire when she was just 6 !

I begged for years to learn build her head voice and she slowly was and then she spent months on tour “living in her head voice.”

And THAT is where so much growth happened.
Developing her head voice gave her greater flexibility, balance, control, and the ability to move between vocal qualities with ease.

She didn’t lose an ounce of that natural power. She gained more ways to use it.

And the best part? She took those tools and crafted this delivery on her own. The technique gave her more choices, but SHE made the artistic decisions. I am beyond proud to play a part of her journey. She is a force. You want to follow her. 🔥 @skymatthews3

We aren’t trying to make powerful voices less powerful. We’re teaching them how to have CHOICES. ❤️

That’s Seamless Singing™. You don’t need to be on tour to build your head voice. You just need to trust the process.

⭐️DALLAS! It’s been a very busy 2 weeks back home since ending my time on the tour, but I can’t miss out on posting about the incredible time we had in Texas! It was HOT HOT HOT for all 12 days I was there, but we had the BEST time celebrating our final 11 shows together as the von Trapp kids! We planned crazy-themed dress up days, went for trapeze lessons (twice!), had a blast at the Netflix house, ate amazing BBQ, had a bubble party celebration on our closing night, and of course so many hugs and tears, but also laughs and fun! I also got to do the Instagram takeover for the official Sound of Music National Tour account, so check it out (saved in my Instagram stories!) What a fun city to take our final bows! Can’t believe it’s been 7 months since we first joined the tour. What an incredible ride it’s been! ⭐️ Next Up: Stay tuned for exciting upcoming projects! Can’t wait!

Heading into my final week on The Sound of Music National Tour and feeling so grateful. Six months of musical theatre, incredible cities across North America, amazing castmates, lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to share this adventure with. One more week before “So Long, Farewell!” ❤️

Life on a National Tour is pretty much the best thing in the world and I feel like our Lanese Crew has trained for this forever. It feels exactly where and how our life is meant to be. Lucy and Liam are thriving; making tons of friends, loving life with Mommy who for the first time in their lives is barely working, enjoying the little things, and ready for all the adventures!

Lilly Belle is in week 3 of school and rehearsals on her first National Tour and getting so excited for Opening Night ❤️ Just a little over a week now 🎉

Soaking up every second!

📷 one: Lucy creates a little fort for reading on our hotel window seat.
📷 two: Liam also created a fort, but told me it’s for watching the sunset.
📷 three: Lilly Belle on her dinner break on a day filled with rehearsal, costume fittings, a hair consult, and school.
📷 four: The barista at Starbucks made a heart in my drink and it made me so happy to see her so excited about making it.
📷 five: Liam is loving every second of built-in besties! Our little Miss Emma (Gretl) keeps us all entertained.
📷 six: Liam and I started on our Halloween Lego builds to decorate our room.
📷 seven: We love taking the kids on fun outings whenever we can. We tried out an ice cream / cobbler spot here in Dallas and it was delicious!
📷 eight: All the pool time for our little Florida fishies.
📷 nine: First Day of School all together - the current cast + incoming cast of Von Trapplings.
📷 ten: Saying “see ya real soon” to Matt. Already counting down the days until he’s back “home” here with us! Because wherever we’re all together is always home.
📷 eleven: All the Von Trapplings took a field trip together during school time!
📷 twelve: I love all of our walks together.
📷 thirteen: Von Trapplings pool time!
📷 fourteen: First Day of School for Lucy & Liam! 2nd and 4th grade on tour!
📷 fifteen: The fastest friends are tour friends! Liam and Lucy absolutely love having so many friends their age!
📷 sixteen: Matt was pumped to take me to In-N-Out for the first time!
📷 seventeen: Airport gate hangout # 1 on tour with our Von Trapplings!

Basically life is just so so so good.
