Sky Pig, “It Thrives In Darkness”: Hulking cavernous sludgy doom with dark psychedelic moments for added terrifying atmosphere. I love my doom particularly hellish, and Sky Pig definitely delivers the sonic equivalent of falling into a crack opening from Earth’s surface leading down to Satan’s damned pit. I appreciate the sound dynamics of this project: the subtle quiet moments amplify the riff-tastic explosions and bellowing howls, and vice-versa. The last thing I will say is this album art is incredibly bleak and awesome! Vinyl available via @forbidden_place_records_backup PS. Titanic closing track on this one too! 🍇 🍇 🍇 🍇 #skypig #itthrivesindarkness #forbiddenplacerecords #stonerdoom #sludgedoom #doomsludge #doommetal #doommetalvinyl #doommetalrecords #sludgemetal #sludgemetalrecords #sludgemetalvinyl #metalvinyl #metalrecords #metalcollector #metalcollection
