Last night, I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday surrounded by some truly wonderful people, and I’m still feeling so much gratitude this morning. My dear friend Addison organized the evening and opened up his beautiful outdoor courtyard for everyone to gather. He and my brother David provided the groceries and then did all the work of preparing and cooking an amazing meal for all of us. All three of my divemaster trainers, Flo, Corina and Jenna from Beyond the Corals came to celebrate with me as well, bringing a lovely birthday card and the sweetest gift of caramel stroopwafels. I couldn’t ask for a better group of instructors. Inno, one of our wonderful weekly coral tree nursery cleaning volunteers, joined us with his wife and two beautiful children. It was so lovely to share the evening with his family!! The picture isn’t the best quality, but it might be one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken. It shows friendship, generosity, community and people who took time out of their lives to help make my birthday special. Thank you all for making me feel so loved and celebrated. I appreciate every one of you more than you know. My heart is full and my gratitude is immense. I feel incredibly fortunate to have you all in my life : )
