Ending 2025 with a grateful heart🤍

In September, my life changed in a way I never could have imagined. I lost my dominant arm and an index finger in an accident. For a while, I didn’t know how to show up here again. Not because I was ashamed, but because I was healing, learning who I was in a body I had never known before.

I had to remind myself that I’m still the same person. Same humor, same heart, same dreams, just with one less arm and a lot more perspective. If anything, this version of me is stronger, more present, and somehow still finds things to laugh about.

I’m not broken. I’m not less than. I’m becoming and I don’t have to hide to heal. Nothing about what I’ve been through takes away from who I am, it only adds to my strength.

Thank you to my support system, my people who held me up when I couldn’t, who reminded me who I am on the days I forgot, and who made me laugh when laughter felt impossible. I wouldn’t be here without you.

And if you want to stick around, I’ll be sharing more of this journey, my prosthetic fittings, learning my new normal, the hard days, the wins, and everything in between. This is me learning, adjusting, and living my life as fully as possible.

This is me, as I am now.
Different, yes.
But still me.
And just getting started.

Same soul. New beginning.

Hmmm the journey of Nursing 😅

From experiencing a house fire that literally wiped away all our belongings to the mini mental breakdowns and episodes of exhaustion I had almost every other week to the Professors that believed in me and the ones that didn’t (don’t even get me started lol) to that NCLEX test that almost chewed my desire to be a nurse…Today I can successfully and humbly say thank you Abba my Father, thank you Jehovah Jireh my personal provider, thank you El Shaddai my sustainer for all you have done for me.

My support team you know who you are, I’m grateful for each and every one of your lives. Thank you for always being there and reminding me of my passion and worth even when the road looked so tough for me. This win is for all of us!

As I reflect on this memorable day for myself, I want to personally extend my prayers to anyone going through a grey area in their career path. If God can do it for me, He will SURELY do it for you. Keep the faith and don’t be dismayed 🙏🏾💖.
