Joy Fest LA ~ An Un-Masquerade 🎭 began the moment my unmasking stopped being personal & became a call to gather.

After my TEDx talk, the message wanted to move beyond the stage & become something people could enter, feel & experience together.

That calling became @joyfest_la

A room where story, music, movement, coherence & connection became something people could feel. Where performance was art, not armor.

On March 8, 2026, we gathered at @PrimalMovesVenice for the inaugural Joy Fest LA ~ An Un-Masquerade.

The day had an arc ~ from aerial silks & @TedxPacificAvenue voices to acro yoga, movement, a warm shared curry meal, ceremonial tea, cacao, music, two immersive Un-Masquerade experiences & a room slowly opening into coherence.

The whole day moved like an EDM set. The drop began with two violinists sharing a stage for the very first time ~ Grammy-winning @nathalieboninmusic & award-winning violinist @emergewithemer 🎻 🎻

That day had a frequency.

And yes ~ we actually measured the joy! 🧡Nathalie Bonin’s @nathalieboninmusic live @biometric.study, captured the room’s heart coherence in real time. Faith, science & energy have never needed to choose sides.

What began on the @TedxPacificAvenue stage led by Richard Greene @thecivicsdean at @theKINN.co ~ “How Losing My Hair Revealed My Real Power” ~ became something we could only fully understand once it happened in the room.

The future is not abstract. It looked, for a moment, like a little girl in a purple tutu moving through the room with complete freedom. It lives in the way we gather, move, nourish ourselves & choose joy.

Joy is part of the blueprint. So is dance.

Deep gratitude to @PrimalMovesVenice , @thekinn.co & every person who helped bring this beginning to life.

@joyfest_la continues. Next ~ Regenerative Living.

And thank you @joonaskent for making this reel feel as alive as the day itself 🎥✨

What if Joy could be measured?

The BioMetric Study explores how music, breath & human connection influence the body in real time.

At Joy Fest LA, world-renowned violinist Nathalie Bonin & the BioMetric Study team will guide a live experience where violin, breath & creative expression interact with the nervous system ~ revealing measurable shifts in coherence between heart, mind & body.

Science meets art.
Physiology meets presence.

Participants will have the opportunity to volunteer for real-time biometric tracking, allowing the audience to witness how rhythm, breath & emotion influence the human system.

It’s a rare chance to experience research that explores the deeper language of our biology.

We are honored to host this extraordinary work at Joy Fest LA.

Sunday, March 8 🧡
12–7 PM · Primal Moves Venice

You’ll be able to sign up for a session when you arrive.

Come experience what happens when the body moves into rhythm.

The Un~Masquerade | A Collective Unmasking

What mask are you wearing? What would happen if, even for a moment, you let it go?

On March 8, we step into The Un-Masquerade ~ a shared, immersive experience where we gently explore the roles, patterns & protections we’ve been carrying & begin to release what no longer fits.

Clara Naum anchors The Un-Masquerade.
With decades of transformational work rooted in emotional intelligence & spiritual psychology, she guides the room into radical self-honesty, clarity & conscious alignment.
This is where the mask softens ~ and truth rises.

Katrina De Angelis creates spaces where the mask softens, presence returns & who you are beyond expectation rises.
Her work in regenerative leadership reminds us that culture begins within.

Kevin Hekmat anchors the room through sound ~ guiding us into coherence, rhythm & embodied release.
As founder of Saturday Soul, he understands how music shapes the way we gather.

Together, they hold a container that allows something subtle but powerful to shift.

This experience is followed by the Un-Masquerade Dance, where what you’ve released doesn’t stay in your head. Through EDM music & collective energy, joy becomes something you can actually feel. Shared. Grounded. Alive.

Something meaningful changes when we do this together. You won’t leave the same.

TEDx speakers sharing lived truth.
Cacao & ceremonial tea.
Acro + somatic experiences.🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏼‍♂️

The arc of the day mirrors a powerful EDM journey.

We gather.
We build.
We soften.
A living pause.
And then ~ the drop.

Live violin meets bass.
Music reorganizes the nervous system.
Breath opens. The body releases.
Something locked begins to move.

Rhythm.
Resonance.
A room full of people ready to evolve.

People leave lighter.
Clearer.
More connected to themselves ~ and to each other.

I think we can all use a little joy about now...not as a distraction or diversion, but to give us the fuel to be a part of the soul-ution to the ICEy challenges in this country...not to mention all the tyrany in the world. Join me... #JoyFestLA

Voices, artists & stewards of the room.

On June 8, 2025, 35 voices gathered on stage at TEDx Pacific Avenue, hosted at The KINN in Venice, CA.

The ideas were bold.
Some were provocative.
All of them were human.

Different lives. Different disciplines. One shared frequency.

The room held both gravity & grace.
Listening felt devotional.
Stories were received with care & presence.

The energy carried beyond the stage ~
in the way people lingered, connected & stayed open to one another.

Joy Fest LA continues that spirit.🎻🎻💃🏻🕺🏼

What if your next breakthrough only happens when you stop trying so hard?

A beautiful reminder ~ transformation isn’t a straight climb up some invisible ladder ~ it’s cyclical, rhythmic, often silent. We don’t force awakening. We allow it, by entering stillness with reverence & trust.

If your nervous system has been stuck on “go,” try this today:
Try this in 3 steps:
1. Close the tabs, silence your phone, set a timer for 11 minutes.
2. Hand on heart, feel your breath without fixing it. Notice the urge to “do” & let it soften.
3. Whisper: “I’m willing to pause. Show me what’s ready to transform.” Then just be.

No incense required. Just honesty.

This is the heartbeat of what we’re building:
“The Joy Festival presents Areté ~ A Sacred Pause II “ on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026, featuring my fellow PacificAve TEDx speakers ~ a live space for presence, coherence & real transformation. Stay tuned for time & location ~

If your soul is craving more of these sacred pauses, comment PAUSE below & I’ll DM you a simple practice you can start this week.
