i’ve been in theatre for most of my life now, and i can’t imagine a more fulfilling experience. i’m so grateful for all of the connections and memories I’ve made with theatre and i will always cherish and be involved with the theatre. theatre arts are so important to society, and i’m so thankful that i’ve been able to be a part of something so inspiring and special. thank you all 💛💙

It’s strange knowing something that became such a huge part of your life is suddenly turning into a memory. Last year I wrote that “the goal isn’t to be remembered for doing it all. The goal is to build something worth remembering,” and I don’t think I fully understood what I meant until now. I walked into theatre as someone quiet and unsure of myself, and somehow over the years this department became the place where I learned how to trust myself, how to care deeply about the things I create, and how to become someone stronger than I used to be. There are so many moments that felt so ordinary at the time that I would give anything to go back to now, and I think that’s the hardest part about all of this ending. Not the shows or the performances, but knowing there won’t be another random afternoon spent backstage or another late rehearsal that somehow turns into a memory you carry forever. I grew up here in a way I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to explain, and no matter where life takes me next, there will always be a part of me that carries these people, these moments, and everything this department gave me. Thank you for the last four years. I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing it. 👑
