This fall has been jam packed in a short 2 month period:

It has been all good things, but it has come with ALOT of change. I think change is good! Can’t wait for high school season to begin with my new team and coaches. All good things! Start my 1st day at Cottonwood this Wednesday. C’s Up!!

Im finally ready to announce my official transfer over to “Cottonwood High school” and basketball 🏀 program. This is one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever had to make, and it hasn’t been easy. Leaving Corner Canyon means leaving teammates, memories, routines, and a place that has been part of my story. I’m grateful for the people who supported me and for what I learned there.

I also want to be honest: there were moments when I felt hurt and didn’t feel treated with the respect I deserved. It took time and courage to recognize that I needed to make a change for myself. Stepping away from what’s familiar is hard, but I believe this fresh start is the right step for me.

I’m excited to begin this new chapter at Cottonwood and join the Colts. I know there will be a lot to learn as I adjust to a new school and team. I’m ready to work hard, earn trust, support my teammates, and keep growing. I have already met the girls and they have been so welcoming, and the coaching staff is amazing!

I’ve learned that sometimes staying in a difficult situation can feel easier because it’s familiar. Choosing an uncomfortable change because you know it’s right for you takes courage. Learning to adapt.

I’ll carry the lessons and relationships from Corner Canyon with me. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me through this big change. Not everyone will always agree with you, and I’m learning that’s okay. I’m proud of myself for finding the courage to take this step, and I’m looking forward to what comes next. 🖤💛 “Adapting to change isn’t a setback. It’s a chance to grow into what comes next.”

Area Codes Basketball Scouting Service was in attendance at the 2026 ACCAC Women’s JUCO Jamboree on Saturday, October 10th, hosted by Pima College.

After having to scramble and move the location, everything seemed to work out well with the event being played in the East Valley. I was not able to evaluate every team or every player in action, so this Top Prospects List is based strictly on the players I personally had an opportunity to watch.

Three NCAA Division I programs were noticeable and present Cal State Northridge, Cal State Bakersfield, and UTEP and I had an opportunity to speak with coaches from those programs. Nelson University and Park University were also in attendance, adding to the college presence in the gym. It was another good day of Arizona Women’s JUCO basketball and a valuable opportunity for these student-athletes to compete and be seen.

Lexington is a 6'1, who has a great looking shot and improved ball handling skills. Also has a knack for blocking shots.

DEFENSE! Evie played 8 games in two days and still managed to have enough energy for all these blocks, steals, tips, and loose balls. It was such a lock down that I felt it deserved its own post. Blocking has become her specialty as she’s nearing 5’11” with a large wing span. This is part one of the Salt Lake Community College team camp with the Farmington Varsity.
