Basketball was never just a game, it was therapy. My safe place. The one place I didn’t have to explain the pain. Growing up, I didn’t need a therapist, I needed a hoop, a ball, and some silence. I never talked about what I was going through, I just hooped through the pain. Basketball saved me in ways nobody will ever understand.

@archer.leon always preached to us to when we’re on the circuit if we had the chance to always put on a show, whether it’s throwing lobs, dunking on someone, hitting shots or just playing the game the right way, but on this play I had to make sure I got my 2 pts.. my bad DB 😂😂

Episode 6 Sunday @6

All everyone spoke about growing up was my shooting & how great of a shooter I was but I wish the other parts of my game were talked about as well. The IQ & playmaking & decision making were definitely underrated but to me, as a 6’0 guard I loved to rebound & I think that was the most underrated thing about my game! Wish we kept stats back then 😂

Episode 5 tomorrow @6

Basketball gave me everything, but it also took a lot. Depression. Injury. Identity loss, but sometimes the hardest decision brings the most peace. I walked away from the game I loved, battled depression, tried to fight through injury, making this decision was probably the hardest thing I’ve had to do but I’m finally at peace with it.

Decade of pain, lifetime of strength. Fighting battles you don’t see. Healing slowly. Growing quietly. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m on my way, slowly but surely.

Growing up we were always told to have a plan b in case plan a doesn’t work out, I now regret not having a plan b because now that I’m done with playing, idk who I am without basketball which I’m still trying to figure out till this day. A lot of regrets & bad decisions I’m trying to make up till this day, but it’s all apart of the journey. Episode 2 drops Sunday @6

The infamous story on how 22pts in 4 minutes happened with a broken nose 😅 one of the craziest games to be apart of, you just had to be there to witness how crazy it really was. Watch the whole story Sunday as episode 1 drops @6!
