The search for the PERFECT stick continues… 🥁👀

This week we’re trying out @meinlstickandbrush !

My brother @sledgeondrums told me I needed to try the 9A, and I can’t lie… I LOVE THESE! 🔥 They might be a real contender.

Now I feel like I need to take this journey a step further… somebody help me get a tour of the Meinl factory! 😂 I wanna learn more about how sticks are made and what really goes into finding the right stick for each player.

I’ve been watching my brother @sledgeondrums a lot lately, and one thing I’ve been stealing 😅 is the way he sets up transitions between sections. So I figured I’d give it a shot to get us back to the chorus.

Judging by @therealadamneal’s reaction… I think I passed the test. 😂😂😂

What a journey it’s been! Speaking from the heart, I truly cannot express how much music and art mean to me. I’m not sure where I’d be without it. Without all of YOU! I wake up everyday so grateful that I get to do this. That I get to create freely… and the fact that so many people resonate with what I’m doing. It’s been a long road to get here with many ups and many downs but such is life. It’s all in what you do with it. Well, THIS IS what I do with it. And I would highly encourage everyone who reads this to go make that thing you’ve been thinking about whether it be a song, a poem, a piece of art, a meal, whatever. GO DO IT. It’s not about the likes or any of this social media bs… it’s about DOING IT FOR YOURSELF. That’s where it starts. The rest will come. Trust your vision and Trust yourself. It’s been well Over a decade plus of “Skuff Micksun” (not to mention all my previous bands and projects) nonstop building what is now my life’s work for the most part. I have found such an incredible community of people who love, support and share these experiences with me, it’s truly priceless and I could never possibly thank you enough. Each year is better than the last (usually not without more difficult obstacles and problems) and this past year was nothing short of amazing. Touring with my boys in @wearepetneeds was a dream and I made lifelong friendships. This year I have my first vinyl record (of many to come) and so many exciting things on the way and in the works. I’ve turned down so many deals and am remaining independent as I think it’s best for what I believe in and want to do. Huge shout out to everyone here, old and new. I couldn’t possibly do this the way I get to without you. To those that have believed in me. To the priceless friendships I will take to the grave. And to those who stuck with me through all of it. So thankful. This is a stream of consciousness, so forgive me if it isn’t all nice and neat. Just needed to say it and not think too hard about it. Idk about y’all, but I’m SO ready for more music. More art. More life. Always. I love you all fr fr. ❤️ So much more to come!
