POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Steve and I got home from the Jersey Shore in the morning and spent the rest of the day hosting a Father’s Day BBQ and pool day with our family. As I watched everyone gathered around the pool, laughing, eating, telling stories, and simply being together, I found myself thinking about the men in my life. My dad, who has shaped and supported me my entire life. My husband, who shaping and supporting my children’s lives. The coaches, teachers, mentors, and friends who have shown me what strength really looks like. Not strength through control. Not strength through power. But strength through consistency. Through showing up. Through support. Through responsibility. Through creating a space where the people around them can thrive. The older I get, the more I appreciate the good men. The steady men. The men who quietly carry responsibility and love their families through actions more than words. This week’s episode of Midlife Audacity is a Father’s Day reflection that turned into a much bigger conversation about healthy masculinity, feminine energy, partnership, and what it means to be on the same team. One of the questions I explore is: Have we become so focused on criticizing unhealthy masculinity that we’ve forgotten to celebrate healthy masculinity? I’d love to hear your thoughts. And to all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, mentors, coaches, and father figures out there… thank you and Happy Father’s Day to those who have shaped and supported their children on their journey. 🤍C 🎙️ Midlife Audacity Ep. 35 is available now.
