Sometimes, the best nights are the ones you never plan. I tried to get into one of the best Italian spots in Chicago tonight, but they were fully booked. As I was about to leave, two young women at the door stopped the owner and said, “We have a reservation for three, but it’s just two of us now— she’s joining us.” I didn’t know them at all. But they insisted…and before I knew it I was introducing myself and I said yes. They didn’t have to invite a random stranger to dinner, but they did — and it turned into the sweetest night. We talked about careers, families, dogs, baking, music, and life. I loved getting to know Kirsten and Shoshana — two incredible women with huge hearts and generous spirits. I don’t mind dining alone (I actually enjoy it), but tonight was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. We said we’ll meet up again next time I’m in Chicago, and I hope we do. Sometimes, the unexpected moments are the best ones. Thank you, ladies, for giving up your night to make room for me at your table. It meant the world.

Senior. Master. Coach. ….boy it feels good to write that! The highest promotion as a Coach that one can achieve, something I wrote down in my goals for 2024. And I did it. Just in time before my 5 year anniversary with [solidcore] this has been quite the journey. I have never been a good test taker and evaluations create a lot of anxiety….did I fail along the way? Yes. Did I keep going and keep trying? Yes. I also took a 2 year detour to be an HCCM and found some of my biggest growth in that role as a leader and a Coach. I traveled to other markets, took class and coached classes every time I was in NYC and even while on vacation in Miami. I learned from other coaches and HCCM’s along the way and continued to work toward my goals. I have never found something that challenged me and changed me in so many ways, something that showed me strength at a time when I needed it most, and something that brought me the most amazing community and so much love and support. I truly live and breathe the [solidcore] brand and continue to strive to do my best for my studios, fellow coaches and clients. This next level will be full of more growth and I am so excited to continue forward. I have grown to love stepping outside my comfort zone….and that is where we find the change. Countless people for me to thank- my entire team at Buffalo Grove, former team at RivNo, @trianaaaaa @jac.eby @selizondo8 @kenzie.morehead @stephenaaaron @malgal2008 @mikeydowden and so many more, I could go on and on but for now…..BG- I am your SMC! Let’s go! 💙💙💙
