Pressing pause in Cornwall. 🌊☀️

A few weeks back we had a much needed and long overdue trip to the Lizard to spend time with my family. Coastal walks, sea swims, Rattler 🐍🤤, an inordinate amount of good food, and lots of quality time - what more can a girl want. 🩵

Apparently today is National Waffle Day… as if I needed an excuse! 😋

So it seemed only right to celebrate with a visit to Slice of Cornwall, tucked away at Trewardreva Mill near Constantine.

Slice is a lovely, relaxed café/restaurant in a peaceful rural setting on the Helford, and waffles are very much one of their specialities - with an impressive choice of both sweet and savoury creations.

My favourite combination? Bacon and maple syrup. Sweet, salty and absolutely delicious.

And a little Goldie Pirate tip… the portions here are VERY generous! 😂 I actually ordered the children's waffle for £8, and trust me, it was plenty. The adult portions are huge!

If you're exploring this part of Cornwall and fancy somewhere a little different for breakfast, brunch or lunch, is definitely one to pop on the list.
