With any piece of art there are unspoken rules the artist sets up. The way you define, approach, and break those rules is what defines your unique artistic vision. If you couldn’t tell, oners are my favorite thing. For whatever reason, since I started making videos I’ve always imagined the video playing out in one shot. I think there’s a lot that contributes to why. To me a oner grounds the video. Knowing there are no cuts to hide behind is a limit that is felt by the creator, but also by the viewer and it is so fun to play in that space and figure out how to defy expectations. Also a oner always feels like a performance, for the people in front of the camera and behind. As I’ve transitioned into also being the artist, it has been so fun to play both roles. The live performance video for our first song Smoke is live on YouTube. Link in bio This yet again another project that wouldn’t have happened without so many talented people. Smoke Official Music Video Beyond grateful. This feels so strange to say, but this is my first project where I am the client. The first project where it’s me that has the final sign off. For the first time ever, I would do all the directing things, and then just step in front of the camera and do it myself hahah. It was weird to not have to translate what’s in my brain to someone else’s. Instead of brain to brain it was brain to body. A process I would have never expected to participate in, and never expected to enjoy this much. Truly this project would not have happened without everyone listed here and more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who gave there time to make this project happen. I hope this project inspires Link in bio @slide Director | @danielcarrai Producer | @alyssa__carrai Production Coordinator | @mirandamorenoc Cinematographer | @lukefletcherfilms AD | @jerod_wood Production Designer | @garrett_tyler3 Gaffer | @calebtheguest 1st AC | @owenstafford_ 2nd AC | Eric Flores Crane Op | @hudsonstafford Grip | @culdesacfilms Grip | @_henry.264 Utility | @mauricevictor_ Virtual Production Supervisor | @rsmblee VFX | @matt_collamore VFX R&D | @joshuameza1 Photo | @bullvisuals BTS Video | @jonathandaniels_ Management | @louis_coppola_ Production Company | @sever.films Label | @makewakeartists Virtual Production Studio | @mayavpstudios Specialty Camera Systems | @4.velocity Wardrobe Provider | @lamb_fabricae
