I know we have been posting a lot of pictures of all the construction and renovation work we did together with our Interior Design Colony, but all of that was carefully planned.

Together with all of the Interior Design Colony participants, we spent days researching interior design ideas/trends and figuring out how to incorporate them into HoU's design.

"A ritual is an opportunity for spontaneous collaboration"

The Interior Design Colony is a project that requires A LOT of teamwork. So we spent the first day sharing stories, pieces of ourselves, and many great hugs.

Asifa, one of our lovely participants, led us through a small ritual that brought our team together in a really intimate, beautiful, and meaningful way.

Now we're READY to use our diverse personalities, backgrounds, and design ideas to bring House of Urnebes to life 🥰

🎶 My #borscht brings all the boys to the yard
And they're like, it's better than yours 🎶

One of the best parts of working with people from all around the world is sharing FOOD. Everyone pitched in a recipe for a dinner for one night. This lovely pink dish is @robe.ceg 's Lithuanian borscht recipe (made with whatever ingredients we could find in Serbia).

Interior designing is so much easier with accurate floor plans to work with...

SOOOO big shout out to @slipiberi and @voja.adam , our resident architects, for measuring literally every corner of our monster house and drawing up these very detailed floor plans.

The dancer on our Interior Design team (@robe.ceg) pointed out that this space in the attic is the coolest place to put a performance stage.

She explained that dancers love the challenge of performing in spaces with unique shapes and constraints.

So we spent an afternoon rebuilding and reinforcing the "floor" of this soon to be performance stage.

And not to brag or anything, but its strong enough for an elephant or something to jump on now 🐘

Stay tuned to see what performances end up happening here!
