It's #truthtuesday and honestly I am not good with losing people. I am not afraid of death or dying it's just the process of disconnecting from the current realm‼️

This is why I love photography and capturing the moments of happiness as they come. This is the main reason I started @gotyouinthescope‼️🎉

I say all of this to say:
✅ Enjoy the moments
✅ Capture the moments
✅ Be in the moments

RIP Dean @sliquid.boss

I lost a brother this past year. Today is his birthday. @sliquid.boss 🥲 It has not been easy for me to talk about and every time I tried to write about him I just cried and lost my train of thought. As I am now.
Dean, I miss you soooooo much. Always thought it was so cool your birthday was on 420! So many amazing things about you. Cancer snuck up on you. Totally devastating! The way you fought back was just like the warrior you are. I lost a brother. A man who helped me be a better “ man”! Never did you judge me. You only saw me. I just loved being around you and now I feel a little lonely for that “ man time”. It’s so crazy how you can be here one moment and gone forever in the next. I know you look down upon me to make sure I am staying focused on being the “ badass” you called me. I miss our jacuzzi time where we told our very personal things and never judged. It’s hard not having you around , everyone misses you. I hope you are having a great birthday in the sky with your Mom and Dad. You will forever be that man in my life that means so much to me. I miss you bro! ❤️🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

2024 what can I say ? So many things to be grateful for, framed within experiences to remind me who I am and why I am here. Finding joy again and remembering how important the little things are as well as the people you spend your time with.

So many amazing people and amazing times to help me find my center again.

On November 30th, 2024, our community lost one of its most buoyant constituents. Dean Elliot, founder of Sliquid and friend to practically everyone that considers themselves a sexual wellness professional, succumbed to his battle with pancreatic cancer. His larger-than-life personality and equally enormous heart will be sorely missed.

Our friend Josh Ortiz eloquently described what all of Dean’s friends witnessed over the last year and a half:

“Dean fought one of the most dignified battles against one of the worst of cancers - pancreatic, advanced stage, at that, that I have ever witnessed. He showed up at events, award shows, trade shows. He was open and honest about his journey through chemo, in his own quirky Dean way. He showed us that it’s ok to be afraid and positive, simultaneously. It IS possible to find joy amidst so much pain.” Shared with the permission of Josh Ortiz.

Dean would understand our grief, but certainly wouldn’t allow it to stop us in our tracks. So, inspired by Dean’s spirit, we carry on.

Our condolences to Dean’s family and our friends at Sliquid. 🤍

Rest In Peace, friend.

July 2019. . I had the great pleasure of spending time with this amazing individual. The Boss of Sliquid himself, Dean Elliot. Thank you Sir for being a great beacon of light. An energy for life unrivaled but for a select few. A Mentor and Motivator. Thank you for trusting me when I was simply just getting started with my hobby business. You had a great impact on the FCC Woodshop as it grew. Be at Peace, your fight against Cancer is no more. Until we meet again. . See you then my friend. #PancreaticCancer #FuckCancer #Sorrow #sadness😔

Dean was an incredibly special person. We bonded through the years and that bond became even stronger when I found out about my breast cancer diagnosis and broke down in tears in the @Sliquid booth with him at a tradeshow. He sent me this photo while I was waiting at the airport, leaving the show early to get home for more tests. This photo came along with the sweetest message of support. He was so caring, always checking in on me and cheering me on.
When he shared with me his cancer diagnosis, all I wanted to do was reciprocate the support he gave to me. I’m thankful that I was able to express to him how much I appreciated his friendship before he left this earth.
He was as unique as they come. A BIG personality, with determination and spunk like no other. Truly a one of a kind human who will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to encounter him on this planet. No doubt his big big life will carry on in the after-life and always in our hearts.
It was an honor to be hugged by you.

Times like these are never easy…..even though we knew it was inevitable….it stings like a MF.

@sliquid.boss was a beautiful human. It’s rare to find someone who is always smiling….always in a good mood…..always positive. These type of people are good for your soul and when you find them….you got to cherish them.

I will never forget the laughs….even when we disagreed with each other. It’s what friendship and unconditional love for eachother is all about! I will cherish every moment.

Dean….you are a king of kings! If I make it to heaven, I’m sure you will be there to greet me with wings on!

Rest easy brother! ❤️
