Pretty sure we’re over-caffeinated but i still love going on vacation coffee dates with @the.boon 🫶 Went back to a few of our favourites and tried some new (to us) cafes this trip. 📍JUDE @jude.yvr - the P.S.L. (w/ sichuan peppers) + the best latte art I’ve seen in a really long time 😍 Also went to: 📍Lumine Coffee 📍SLO Coffee 📍Noct. Coffee 📍Miion Cafe 📍Hiyori Coffee 📍Emeri Matcha Bar 📍Octave Cafe #yvrcoffee such a cute sign as they are located inside @particles.ph !! cute coffee cups too!! bottom cup was from 📍 @luminecoffee 📍SLO coffee (Fraser St)- had the salted caramel popcorn latte 📍NOCT. Coffee @noct.coffee OSL (Osmanthus Spice Latte) was so so good!! 🫶 📍NOCT. Coffee @noct.coffee Went back the next day to try other pourovers! 📍Miion Cafe - Richmond @miioncafeyvr Cute interior, good coffee, also had tea lattes and this jasmine latte was delicious 🤤 📍SLO coffee (Granville St) @slocoffee_ - fig hojicha latte at long last. 📍Hiyori Coffee @hiyoricoffee Pourover for our afternoon coffee break Took our coffee to go so we could go to the next stop! 📍Emeri Matcha Bar @enjoyemeri - hojicha opal latte was light, floral! Yum! Soft serve twist- we preferred the shizuoka side over the uji side. 📍octave cafe @octavecafe - stopped in after our trek to find the bruno signs in the area! 📍octave cafe @octavecafe cute logo! drip coffee was fairly dark for what I usually prefer 📍SLO coffee @slocoffee_ for one last fig hojicha latte before heading out ✨

Building a creative career and sustaining one are two entirely different problems. The early part of a creative career has a particular kind of clarity to it. The goal is visible, the hunger is present and the work is the thing. Every decision points toward getting better, getting noticed, getting to the next level.  That focus produces results and for a period it produces them consistently. The career builds momentum and for a while the momentum feels self-sustaining. Then something shifts. Not dramatically and not always in a way that announces itself clearly, but the conditions that produced the early growth stop being sufficient for the next stage. The work that got you here is no longer the only thing being asked of you.
