Chicago is home to some of the best drag and that royalty is coming to the Pride Jam! 👑 🏆 🌈 The legendary @tenderoni88 and @bambibankscoulee will emcee the Drag Extravaganza featuring Disney and comic- inspired cosplay by @mac_k_roni , @livianaxo and @kenziecoulee (who is playing violin, can you even with this multi-hyphenate brilliance?!)

You can also get a mini drag makeover done (kids prioritized) beginning at 11am and walk in the participatory ball at the end of the show! 👩🏽‍🎤 🪩

All of this drag magic has been curated by the incredible @bon_abhijeet 💕 Please follow and support all of these artists. And don’t forget your dollars to tip!

Drag is art, drag is important, drag is chicago, drag is for EVERYONE. We are so proud of our expansive, unique, hard working drag community that constantly sets the bar for the world 🌎 🏳️‍🌈 don’t miss the show at 12pm! ⏰

I’m feeling grateful for community, the beautiful chicago queer community, another year around the sun and for the friends and family surrounding me. Believing in me. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me in spirit and in person. I hope this Aries season brings you strength, grounding, guidance and perseverance. We made it through a hell of a few years and still going through it. Love you.

@slomoparty returns to @sl33pingvillag3 for a night of queer community connection and joy April 15!! ❗️Long caption alert, but I want to be transparent abt what we are doing to create accesible spaces and listen to community concerns ❗️In response to last month’s turnout, we’re expanding the venue to include the large music room where DJ @zzzosma and I will be dropping juicy jams all night (& the speakers rly hit)! The bar and outdoor patio will have music from the venue piped in so you can enjoy the Slo ‘Mo sonic experience from anywhere. Your hosts for the evening are @addicted2blak & @addicted2blak.

In an effort to be financially accessible, we are experimenting with a sliding scale ticket model to empower folks to choose the price that feels best for them. We encourage those with more abundant means and allies to the queer community to consider a higher ticket price, and that these funds directly support equitable wages for independent queer creative laborers. 10% of sales will be donated to Brave Space Alliance’s Trans Relief Fund to support their funeral fundraising efforts.

Sleeping Village requires proof of vaccination and we *strongly* encourage masks ‼️ which will be available at the ticket booth. There will be flash photography, and possible use of fog and flashing lights in the venue. The entire venue is wheelchair accessible, and there are wheelchair dedicated spaces in the venue next to the sound booth. Please email slomoparty@gmail.com with any needs or questions. Shoutout to @gemini_rising for the amazing art.
