Sloss Tech is the hottest scene in the South and in tech, and this year we made it even hotter. 🔥

we brought that concept to life through thermal energy 💥 (heat, quite literally) reflected in our creative: a refreshed look, sharpened messaging strategy and press coverage leading up to and during the event.

plus, we showed up BIG throughout the conference. Digital experience engineer @iamdangavin gave a dev track talk about the Claude Code skill he built to automatically generate documentation, and we cooled things down with custom pops and a thermal photo op at our branded VIP activation.

big thanks to @sloss.tech for letting us be a part of a growing conference that’s highlighting the best of Birmingham and the South 🙌

Had the honor of being able to participate in this years @sloss.tech conference 2026!! 📱🎣🌎

It was great getting to represent Castoff and I truly enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet new people like @e_josiah_, catching up with friends like @ryangroves and @monaco_hope, and connecting with so many founders, builders, and innovators throughout the event. Also had a blast experiencing it all with my co-founder, @samhathcock8.

Big thanks to Sloss Tech and @innovatealabama for putting together such a great event. Already looking forward to next year!!!

We Came For A Conference. We Left With A Story.

One of my favorite things about traveling is that you never really know who you’re about to meet.

I traveled to Birmingham, Alabama for Sloss Tech expecting to discover innovative founders, exchange ideas, and experience the conference.

What I didn’t expect was to walk away with one of my favorite conversations of the week.

Before the cameras were ever rolling, Stefan Mühlhauser and I found ourselves talking about entrepreneurship, Austria, leadership, innovation, and the future of technology. The conversation flowed so naturally that, before I knew it, he looked at me and said, “Interview me.”

So I did.

That’s one of my favorite things about Rich Unconventionally.

Some of the best interviews aren’t planned months in advance. They begin with genuine curiosity, meaningful conversation, and a willingness to say yes when an unexpected opportunity presents itself.

While I was at Sloss Tech, I had the privilege of meeting founders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world. Some conversations made it to the camera. Many didn’t. But every conversation reminded me why I started Rich Unconventionally in the first place.

And this is only the beginning.

Soon, we’ll be stepping inside the businesses, headquarters, and communities where these founders are building what’s next.
