✨ ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MEREDITH PELLON ✨

What happens when stillness is interrupted—and one small movement sends ripples through an entire space?

Choreographer Meredith Pellon, Artistic Director of SLOWBURN Dance, brings Pools to ARTISTS IN MOTION 2026.

Pools explores an abstracted form of meditation within interruption. Its movement evokes a shallow pool of water: a surface that appears calm yet remains alive with subtle ripples—expanding, dissolving, and eventually settling back into stillness.

Meredith’s choreographic world values subtlety, precise detail, and unexpected shifts that continue to resonate long after the movement has passed. A graduate of The University of the Arts, she has presented work in New York, Pennsylvania, Seattle, Boston, and beyond.

We are delighted to welcome Meredith and SLOWBURN Dance into our gathering of eight women-led dance organizations—each bringing a different world, voice, and current of movement to one shared stage.
