round 2 - of having an itch to create and get better at shaping light in different scenes:

1. This was another little script I had written from the same short or a segment of the short that’s been revised 10X over from this original version. This time a bit more wholesome (kind of) lol

2. This scene was focused on a larger space in my home, the living room. So I needed to ensure the light source was BIG. Bc BIG means more real and more real gives off a softer and more natural sunlight. The tricky part was attempting to add some fill light that would feel practical and not super sourcey or even artificial since all I had was the Godox VL150 that’s locked in color temp at 5600k, which was a bit too cool for my liking. Especially for how I placed the outside fixture and temp at around 3000k.

I’ve had this itch to just create ANYTHING lately so here’s a bit of what this is:

1. A portion of a scene for a script I had written, then scrapped, then rewrote then scrapped, then REWROTE again. Needless to say It’s not gonna be perfect so f- it it’ll do, enjoy

2. This scene is my way of practicing being on set without being on set. This was a scene created from scratch with a dark bathroom in my home, at night. My goal was to make it feel moody enough to match the scene that I had dreamt up being during the day but also motivate everything in the scene from what would be a sun coming in. I wanna always work on my understanding of how to shape, move, and work light in different scenes so here’s that. Lmk your thoughts

Peek around the corners of Auvers with me

I was so caught up in peaking through all the alleyways and roads I thought I’d share some of my favorites.

The entire day I thought about Van Gogh himself peeking through and walking the same roads

Just love the soft colors of the buildings and all the greenery

Unintentional frame but glad I caught this family exploring! In this day and age of technology, I thought it was so cool he had a map

This was my favorite frame of the day.. I went back to take a photo of it on Ektar 100 but I was out of rolls.

This is the entrance to the place Van Gogh lived and died.

I said “ou la la” when I framed this! So should you

Catching people in frame makes me giddy

The video doesn’t do this building justice

Van Gogh’s last painting was made just up the road from here

The greenery here pulls the entire town together
